Abstract
Peningkatanpopulasi di Indonesia menyebabkankebutuhan air menjadisemakintinggi. Masyarakatmemanfaatkantawassebagaipenjernih air tanpamengetahuibahaya yang ditimbulkanolehtawasterhadapkesehatantubuh. Jikatawasdikonsumsiberlebihandapatmerusaktubuhdanmenimbulkankondisistreso ksidatif. Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmengetahuipengaruhpemberian air minumdengantawasterhadapkadarMDA dangambaranhistopatologiheparpadatikusputih (Rattusnorvegicus). Penelitianinimemiliki lima kelompokperlakuanantara lain, kontrolnegatifdiberikan air minum yang tidakmengandungtawasdanempatkelompokperlakuan air minumdengankonsentrasitawas 1250 ppm, 1500 ppm, 1750 ppm, dan 2000 ppm. Parameter yang diamatipadapenelitianiniyaitukadar MDA yang diukurdenganspektofotometridanhistopatologihepar yang diwarnaidenganHaematoxylin- Eosin (HE). Data hasilkadar MDA dianalisasecarakuantitatifmenggunakanujiOne Way ANOVA dilanjutkanuji Beda NyataJujurdengansoftware SPSS for Windowsdengankepercayaan 95% (α = 5%)danpreparathepardianalisasecaradeskriptifmenggunakanmikroskopcahayaperb esaran 100x dan 400x. Hasil penelitian ini, tikus yang diberi paparan air minum tawas menunjukan peningkatan kadar MDA yang signifikan pada kelompokP2 (1500 ppm), P3 (1750 ppm), dan P4 (2000 ppm). Paparan air minum tawas mempengaruhi histopatologi hepar dengan menimbulkan kerusakan pada selhepatosit. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah paparan air minum yang mengandung tawas dapat meningkatkan kadar MDA dan mempengaruhi gambaran histopatologi hepar.
English Abstract
The increasing population in Indonesia causes water need increase in life. People use alumuniumsulphate as a coagulan substanceto improve the quality of water without knowing the risk for body health. If this substance gets inside the body with high amount it will make a condition called stress oxidative. This research aims to know the effect of alum in water agains the malondialdehyde level and the hepar histopathology image of white rat (Rattusnorvegicus). In this research the rats divided into five groups which isthe negative control that given only water, and the other four is the group that given alum in water for drinking with concentration 1250 ppm, 1500, 1750 ppm, and 2000 ppm. The parameters to observed are MDA level measured using spectophotometreand the hepar histopathology with Haematoxylin- Eosin (HE). MDA data level analyze quantitatively using One Way ANOVA test, continue with Tukey test with SPSS for Windowswith 95% confidence level (α = 5%) and hepar histopathology observed with light microscope descriptively with magnification 100x and 400x. The result of this study showed that the exposure of alum drinking water increase the MDA level significantly in P2 (1500 ppm), P3 (1750 ppm), and P4 (2000 ppm) groups and also exposure to alum drinking water affecting hepar histopathology by damaging thehepatosit cell. The conclusion isthe exposure to drinking water containing alum can increase MDA level and damaging the hepar.
