Abstract
Penggunaan air pada saat melakukan wudhu hanya untuk membasuh beberapa bagian tubuh sehingga banyak air yang terbuang saat wudhu dan tidak dimanfaatkan kembali. Jika dilihat kondisi air wudhu putra di Masjid Al- Hidayah SMP Negeri 6 Malang tidak memiliki Intalasi Pengolahan Air (IPA) untuk air limbah wudhu. Dari hasil awal uji laboratorium PJT I Malang bahwa terdapat beberapa parameter tidak memenuhi standar baku mutu air kelas I, yaitu BOD dan COD. Dimana untuk nilai BOD dari limbah air wudhu sebesar 7,85 mg/l dan untuk nilai COD dari limbah air wudhu sebesar 26,04 mg/l. standar baku mutu air kelas I menurut Peraturan Pemerintah No. 82 Tahun 2001 untuk nilai BOD sebesar 2 mg/l dan untuk COD 10 mg/l. tetapi untuk parameter lain yang diujikan sudah memenuhi standar baku mutu air. Dengan melihat kondisi kualitas air limbah air wudhu di masjid Al-Hidayah SMP Negeri 6 Malang maka diperlukan perencanaan instalasi pengolahan air wudhu dengan menggunakan alat filter sederhana yang mudah untuk dioperasikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kualitas air dari limbah wudhu, besar debit yang dihasilkan oleh alat filter sederhana, efisiensi penurunan alternatif alat filter sederhana antara alternatif I (ketebalan pasir silika 70 cm dan ketebalan zeolite 30 cm), alternatif II (ketebalan pasir silika 65 cm dan ketebalan zeolite 35 cm) dan alternatif III (ketebalan pasir silika 60 cm dan ketebalan zeolit 40 cm) dan mengetahui efisiensi terbesar dari ketiga alternatif untuk memenuhi standar baku mutu air kelas I. Debit yang dihasilkan oleh alat filter sederhana alternatif I adalah 340.48 lt/jam, alternatif II sebesar 359,04 lt/jam dan untuk alternatif III sebesar 377,62 lt/jam. Terjadi ratarata efisiensi penurunan atau peningkatan kualitas air untuk dua kali pengujian yaitu pada saat shalat dzuhur dan ashar. Rata-rata Efisiensi penurunan dan peningkatan kualitas air pada alternatif I nilai parameter BOD sebesar 6,68%, COD sebesar 22,57%, DO 5,86%, pH 7,50%, TSS 14,10%, dan NH3 sebesar 11,83%. Efisiensi penurunan atau peningkatan kualitas air pada alternatif II nilai parameter BOD sebesar 18,79%, COD sebesar 7,15%, DO sebesar 2,19%, pH 0,85%,TSS 37,21% dn NH3 9,30%. dan untuk rata-rata efisiensi penurunan atau peningkatan kualitas air pada alternatif III nilai parameter BOD sebesar 7,89%, COD sebesar 7,98 %, DO sebesar 2,36%, pH 6,93%, TSS sebesar 7,42% dan NH3 sebesar 0,45%. Hasil perhitungan efisiensi tersebut dikelompokkan tidak efisiens karena hasil perhitungan efisiensi termasuk kedalam kelompok x<20%. Dari perhitungan efisiensi didapatkan penurunan terbesar pada ketiga alternatif yaitu pada alternatif I.
English Abstract
The use of water during ablution is only to wash several parts of body, thus there is a lot of water that wasted and it is not reused. If the condition of ablution water from men room at Al-Hidayah Mosque in State Junior High School of 6 Malang is observed, it does not have Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for ablution water waste. According to the initial laboratory test result of PJT I Malang, there are several parameters that do not meet the first class of water quality standard, they are BOD and COD. Where the BOD value of ablution water waste is 7.85 mg/l and for COD value of ablution waste water is 26.04 mg/l. first class water quality standard according to Government Regulation No. 82 year of 2001 for the BOD value is 2 mg/l and for COD is 10 mg/l. but for the other parameters tested it meets water quality standards. According to quality condition of ablution water waste at Al-Hidayah Mosque, State Junior High School of 6 Malang, it is required the planning of ablution water treatment plant by using simple filter device that is easy to be operated. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of ablution water waste, the amount of discharge yielded by simple filter device, the reduced efficiency on the alternative of simple filter device between Alternative I (the thicknesses of silica sand was 70 cm and zeolite was 30 cm), Alternative II (the thicknesses of silica sand was 65 cm and zeolite was 35 cm), and Alternative III (the thicknesses of silica sand was 60 cm and zeolite was 40 cm) and determine the largest efficiency of three alternatives to meet the first class of water quality standard. The discharge yielded by simple filter device of Alternative I was 340.48 l/hour, Alternative II was 359.04 l/hour and for Alternative III was 377.62 l/hour. There was decreasing and increasing of average efficiency during dhuhur and asr prayer. The average efficiency of decrement and increment water quality in Alternative I with the parameter value of BOD was 6.68%, COD was 22.57%, DO was 5.86%, pH was 7.50%, TSS was 14.10%, and NH3 was 11.83%. The decrement and increment of efficiency on water quality in Alternative II with the parameter value of BOD was 18.79%, COD was 7.15%, DO was 2.19%, pH was 0.85%, TSS was 37.21%, and NH3 was 9.30% and decrement and increment of efficiency on water quality in Alternative IIII with the parameter value of BOD was 6.68%, COD was 7.89%, DO was 7.98%, pH was 2.36%, TSS was 7.42%, and NH3 was 0.45%. The calculation result of efficiency was classified as inefficient because the calculation result of efficiency included into the group of x<20%. According to the efficiency calculation, the largest decrease was found in the three of alternatives, namely in Alternative I.
