Hardiyanto, Poppy (2008) Pengaruh arus listrik terhadap laju korosi pelat besi dalam media asam klorida. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
A Research of corrosion rate, CPR, of iron plate in the hydrochloric acid solution has been done. Corrosion process was conducted using iron plate as an anode and carbon as a cathode either with electrical current or without an electrical current. The amount of corroded iron was determined at corrosion time of 0.5; 1.0; 1.5; 2.0; and 2.5 hours and p H variation of 2.0; 2.5; 3.0; 3.5; 4.0. The result of this research showed that increasing the duration time contact and p H values were lowering the corrosion rate, and the CPR by an electrical current (5.75 mpy – 19.41 mpy) was higher compared to CPR without an electrical current (1.44 mpy – 9.34 mpy).
