Abstract
Osteoarthritis (OA) lutut merupakan penyakit keradangan sendi yang banyak menyebabkan kecacatan di negara maju maupun berkembang. Faktor resiko yang telah diketahui mempengaruhi adalah kelebihan berat badan dan obesitas. Salah satu upaya untuk mencegah terjadinya OA lutut adalah menjaga indeks masa tubuh (IMT) dalam kategori normal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan hubungan indeks masa tubuh dengan kejadian OA lutut, skor VAS, lama nyeri dan disabilitas fungsional. Penelitian ini menggunakan model survei dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penlitian ini menggunakan populasi penduduk kota Malang, Jawa Timur sejumlah 2067 yang dipilih dengan metode multi stage random sampling. Variabel yang diukur pada penelitian ini adalah indeks masa tubuh, OA lutut, skor Vas, lama nyeri dan disabilitas funsional. Hasil analisis hubungan indeks masa tubuh dengan OA lutut menggunakan chi-square didapatkan nilai signifikansi p<0,001. Kategori IMT obese 2 memiliki resiko 3 kali lipat terkena OA lutut dan kategori IMT berat badan rendah terhindar 2 kali lipat dari OA lutut. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman antara IMT dengan skor VAS didapatkan nilai bermakna yaitu p = 0,03 dengan koefisien korelasi r sebesar 0,126. Hasil uji korelasi IMT dengan lama nyeri dan disabilitas menggunakan Spearman didapatkan nilai yang tidak bermakna. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara IMT dengan OA lutut dan skor VAS, sementara IMT dengan lama nyeri dan disabilitas fungsional tidak terbukti ada hubungan.
English Abstract
Knee Osteoarthritis (Knee OA) is a major cause of disability in both the developed and developing world. The strongest modifiable risk factors for knee OA are high body mass index (BMI) and obesity. The prevention of knee OA is maintain body mass index in normal category. This research was aimed to prove the association of body mass index with knee OA, VAS score, duration of pain, and functional disability. This research used cross sectional study with survey model. The samples used 2067 respondents of population in Malang, East Java and randomized with multi stage random sampling method. The measured variable in this research was body mass index, incidence of knee OA, duration of pain, and functional disability. Chi-square was use to analyze the correlation between body mass index and knee OA that showed significance score p<0,001. Obese 2 is 3 times develop knee OA and underweight is 2 times protect from knee OA. Correlation Spearman was used to analyze the correlation between BMI and VAS score that showed significance score 0,03 with coefficient correlation r=0,126. Correlation Spearman was used to analyze the correlation between IMT and duration of pain and functional disability that showed insignificant score. The conclusion of this research is that obese 2 increase incidence knee OA 2 times than normal BMI and VAS score, however correlation between BMI with duration of pain and functional disability has not been proven.
