Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kecurangan akademik mahasiswa akuntansi menggunakan teori GONE (keserakahan, kesempatan, kebutuhan, dan pengungkapan), integritas, dan religiusitas. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti adalah metode survei. Responden penelitian ini adalah 120 mahasiswa akuntansi Universitas Negeri di Kota Malang. Metode analisis data menggunakan anailsis partial least square dengan bantuan software SmartPLS. Hasil analisis model penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keserakahan, kesempatan, kebutuhan, pengungkapan, dan religiusitas berpengaruh terhadap kecurangan akademik. Sebaliknya, integritas tidak berpengaruh terhadap kecurangan akademik. Implikasi dari penelitian ini relevan bagi Jurusan Akuntansi agar memperhatikan faktor keserakahan, kesempatan, kebutuhan, pengungkapan, dan religiusitas yang dapat mempengaruhi kecurangan akademik mahasiswa akuntansi.
English Abstract
This research aims to examine factors that influence accounting students to commit academic fraud using GONE Theory (greed, opportunity, need, and exposure), integrity, and religiosity. The data are collected through survey to120 accounting students in universities in Malang. The data are through partial least square technique using SmartPLS. The result of the analysis shows that greed, opportunity, need, exposure, and religiosity influence students to commit academic fraud. However, integrity does not effect them. The implications of this study are relevant to be considered by accounting departments. They should pay more attention to of greed, opportunity, need, exposure, and religiosity, which can influence academic fraud thet might be commited by accounting students.
