Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh belief dan mood negatif terhadap theory of mind (ToM) pada remaja. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mixed design, dimana belief dibagi menjadi dua kondisi yaitu false belief dan true belief diujikan dengan berulang sementara pengkondisian mood dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Partisipan pada penelitian ini melibatkan 60 siswa SMA yang berusia antara 15 sampai dengan 18 tahun. Partisipan dihadapkan pada tugas change of location yang berupa soal cerita dan diminta untuk memprediksikan lokasi suatu objek melalui tugas tersebut. Hasil dari tugas tersebut akan berupa bias jarak lokasi prediksi partisipan dengan lokasi sebenarnya. Berdasarkan hasil uji analisis Repeated Measure ANOVA ditunjukkan bahwa belief berpengaruh secara signifikan (p = 0.001) terhadap ToM, sedangkan kondisi mood negatif jika dibandingkan dengan mood netral tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan (p = 0.798) terhadap ToM. Interaksi antara belief dan mood negatif tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan (p = 0.409) terhadap ToM.
English Abstract
This research is an experimental research that aims to determine the effect of belief and negative mood against the theory of mind (ToM) in adolescents. The design used in this research is mixed design, where belief is divided into two conditions, namely false belief and true belief was tested by repeatedly while mood is divided into two groups : the experimental group and the control group. Participants in this study involved 60 high school students aged between 15 to 18 years old. Participants were faced the change of location task and asked to predict the location of an object through the task. The results of the task will be biased predictions location distance by participants with the actual location. The results of Repeated Measure ANOVA analysis indicated that belief has significant effect (p = 0.001) on ToM, While negative mood conditions when compared with neutral mood did not significantly affect (p = 0.798) on ToM. The interaction between belief and negative mood did not have a significant effect (p = 0.409) againts ToM.
