Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap koleksi di Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi dalam upaya pengembangan koleksi literatur kelabu, perpustakaan lebih banyak menyediakan koleksi tercetak dari pada koleksi elektroniknya, serta koleksi yang berada di ruangan referensi banyak terdapat koleksi lokal yang berbentuk tercetak. Hal ini yang mendorong perpustakaan perlu mengembangkan koleksinya supaya lebih baik. Karena dalam pengembangan koleksi berorientasi kepada pemustaka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, menganalisis dan menginterprestasikan bagaimana Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Malang melaksanakan upaya pengembangan koleksi literatur kelabu dan apa saja faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam upaya pengembangan koleksi literatur kelabu, serta mengetahui peran pustakawan dalam pengembangan koleksi di perpustakaan universitas negeri malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Adapun fokus penelitian ini mengacu pada pengembangan koleksi yang diterapkan di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Malang, peran pustakawan dan faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam upaya pengembangan koleksi literatur kelabu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan dalam upaya pengembangan koleksi literatur kelabu di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Malang meliputi proses kebijakan, yaitu menentukan Kerelevanan, Berorientasi pada kebutuhan pengguna, Kelengkapan, Kerja sama serta kewenangan tugas dan promosi. Dalam menentukan kebijakan beberapa proses yang harus dilakukan diantaranya kerelevanan yaitu koleksi yang berada di perpustakaan Universiatas Negeri Malang harus relevan dengan sumber yang jelas, berorientasi kepada pengguan yaitu dengan cara memberikan layanan-layanan yang dibutuhkan oleh pemustaka yang sudah cukup baik. Kelengkapan meliputi koleksi yang disediakan oleh perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Malang yang memiliki koleksi cukup banyak mulai dari ilmu pendidikan hingga ilmu murni. Selanjutnya kerja sama, memiliki kerja sama antar perguruan tinggi negeri yang lain hampir seluruh indonesia. Kekurangan pada layanan yang hanya menyediakan beberapa kompuetr bagi pemustaka. Selanjutnya dalam melaksanakan promosi dilakukan oleh pustakawan dari website perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Malang yang dinilai kurang baik karena masih belum banyak yang mengakses dari website utama. Peranan pustakawan yang sudah cukup baik sudah memenuhi standar nasional perpustakaan.
English Abstract
This research was done for collection at College library in the matter of developing collection of grey literature, Library has more provided printed collection than electronic clollections, as well as collections that are in the reference room there are many local collections in printed form. This it to encourages the library to develop its collection to be better. Because in the development of collections oriented to reader. The purpose of this study is to know, analyze and interpret how the State University of Malang Library to carry out efforts to develop a collection of grey literature and supporting factors and obstacles in the development collections of grey literature, as well as know the role of librarians in the development of collections in the library the State University of Malang. This research uses qualitative research type with descriptive approach. The focus this research refers to the development of collections applied in the library of the State University of Malang, the role of librarians and the supporting and inhibiting factors in the effort of developing collection of grey literature. The results of this study indicate that the activities in the effort of developing a grey literature collection in the State University of Malang Library includes a policy process that determines the relevance, User-oriented, Completeness, Cooperation as well as task and promotion authority. In determining the policy of several processes that must be done such as the collections of collections located in the library of State University of Malang must be relevant to a clear source, oriented to the user is by providing services needed for reader that is good. Completeness includes collections provided by the library of State University of Malang which has a collection of quite a lot ranging from science education to pure science. Furthermore, cooperation, has cooperation among other universities in almost all Indonesia. Deficiencies in service to available less computer. Furthermore, in conducting promotions conducted by librarians from the library website State University of Malang is considered less good because there are still not many who access from the main website. The role of librarians who have been better to meet the national standard library.
