Abstract

Dewasa ini sistem kendali otomatis mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan teknologi khususnya pada dunia industri modern. Pada industri skala besar penggunaan DCS sudah umum digunakan karena keandalannya dalam mengolah variabel input dengan kualitas ketelitian yang tinggi. Agar dapat lebih mengetahui perkembangan dunia industri modern maka dirancang sebuah sistem pengendalian pada mini-plant yang dapat menjaga suhu air, ketinggian air dan tekanan uap dalam plant (tangki) yang dikontrol menggunakan Yokogawa DCS Centum VP. Pada masing – masing sistem pengendalian digunakan kontroller two-position dengan dengan nilai histerisis 1%. Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan settling time untuk pengendalian suhu air 3703 detik atau 61 menit 43 detik dengan recovery time 76 detik dan error 3,41%, pengendalian ketinggian air dengan settling time 36 detik serta recovery time 62 detik dan error 4,21% sedangkan pengendalian tekanan didapatkan settling time 3603 detik atau 60 menit 3 detik dengan recovery time 18 detik dan error 4,5%.

English Abstract

Nowadays automatic control system has a very important role in technological development especially in modern industrial world. In large scale industries DCS usage is commonly used because of its reliability in processing input variables with high accuracy. In order to better understand the development of the modern industrial world then designed a control system on a mini-plant that can maintain water temperature, water level and steam pressure in the plant (tank) is controlled using Yokogawa DCS Centum VP. In each control system used two-position controller with a hysteresis value of 1%. From the test results obtained settling time for water temperature control 3703 seconds or 61 minutes and 43 seconds with a 76 second recovery time and error of 3.41%, control the water level with a settling time 36 seconds and recovery time 62 seconds and 4.21%, while the Pressure control obtained settling time 3603 seconds or 60 minutes 3 seconds with recovery time 18 seconds and error 4.5%.
