Abstract

Kedekatan hubungan yang dilakukan Putin dengan pihak gereja Ortodoks untuk mencari dukungan suara pada pemilu, membuatnya menghadapi berbagai kritik dan protes dari berbagai pihak oposisi. Salah satu pihak yang memprotes hubungan tersebut adalah grup musik perempuan yang bernama Pussy Riot. Salah satu ide perlawanan yang dibawa oleh Pussy Riot adalah anti-Putin dan dengan bernyanyi di tempat tertentu merupakan cara mereka menyampaikan protes. Setelah beberapa kali melakukan protes, mereka pun tertangkap oleh pihak berwenang. Namun dukungan datang dari berbagai pihak internasional yang menginginkan mereka dibebaskan atas nama HAM. Strategi yang dibawa oleh gerakan solidaritas merupakan cara supaya Pussy Riot dapat dibebaskan oleh pihak Rusia. Berbagai cara yang dilakukan oleh gerakan solidaritas ini dilihat menggunakan konsep gerakan sosial dari Charles Tilly dimana melihat sebuah gerakan dengan tiga variabel, kampanye, repertoar gerakan sosial dan WUNC displays. Strategi tersebut yang pada akhirnya bisa membuat Pussy Riot dibebaskan oleh pihak berwenang Rusia dan dengan begitu mengakhirinya tuntutan dan perjuangan dari gerakan solidaritas internasional.

English Abstract

The close relationship between Putin and the Orthodox Church, established to gain votes on the election, have gained him a lot of critics and protests by the opposition. One of the opposing parties is the all-girls music group, known as Pussy Riot. One of their resistance ideas is that they are anti-Putin, and singing in certain places was their way of expressing their protests. After several attempts, they were arrested by the authority. But, supports come from varied international parties, demanding their release in the name of Human Rights. The strategies that have been brought by the solidarity movement are the ways of making sure of Pussy Riot’s release by the Russian. Several means had been done by the solidarity movement, viewed by the social movements concept by Charles Tilly, in which a movement is seen using three variables: Campaign, Social Movement Repertoire, and WUNC displays. These strategies had actually worked, as the Pussy Riot were finally released by the Russian authority, thus ending the demands and the struggles of the international solidarity movements.
