Abstract

Indonesia memiliki sumber air laut dan sungai yang sangat luas, namun potensi energi yang ada masih belum diketahui. Dengan itu, salah satunya merubah air laut dan air sungai menjadi listrik dengan bantuan proses reverse electrodialysis. Reverse electrodialysis merupakan membran yang digunakan untuk memproduksi listrik dari suatu kontrol pencampuran larutan elektrolit air laut dan air sungai, dengan cara menangkap energi ketika pencampuran air yang mempunyai salinitas berbeda.Pada penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kecepatan aliran air laut dan sungai sintetis terhadap energi listrik meliputi OCV (Open Cicuit Voltage), resistance, dan power density, serta mengetahui energi listrik yang tertinggi berdasarkan perbedaan kecepatan aliran air laut dan sungai sintetis pada proses membrane reverse electrodialysis. Metode rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu RAK (Rangkaian Acak Kelompok) yang disusun secara faktorial dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu variasi kecepatan aliran air sungai sintetis sebesar 8 cm3/s, 14 cm3/s dan 19 cm3/s. Faktor kedua yaitu variasi kecepatan aliran air laut sintetis sebesar 8 cm3/s, 14 cm3/s dan 19 cm3/s. Selama 20 detik sekali, dimana setiap perlakuan dilakukan 3 kali pengulangan. Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan kecepatan air laut sintetis dengan kecepatan tertinggi 19 cm2/s, dan air sungai sintetis dengan kecepatan tertinggi 19 cm2/s, memiliki nilai rata-rata tegangan tertinggi sebesar 8.033 mV, dan power density tertinggi sebesar 1.141 mW/m2, pada Kecepatan air laut sintetis dengan kecepatan terendah 8 cm2/s, dan air sungai sintetis dengan kecepatan terendah 8 cm2/s resistance rata-rata tertinggi sebesar 0.005 ohm/cm2.

English Abstract

Indonesia has a vast source of sea and river water, but the potential for energy is still unknown. With that, one of them turns sea water and river water into electricity with the help of the reverse electrodialysis process. Reverse electrodialysis is a membrane used to produce electricity from a mixing control of electrolyte solutions of seawater and river water, by capturing energy when mixing water having different salinity. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of the speed of the flow of sea water and synthetic river to electrical energy including OCV (Open Cicuit Voltage), resistance, and power density, and to know the highest electrical energy based on the difference of sea water flow and synthetic flow rate in membrane reverse electrodialysis. The experimental design method used is RAK (Random Random Group) which is arranged factorially with 2 factors. The first factor is the variation of synthetic river flow rate of 8 cm3/s, 14 cm3/s and 19 cm3/s. The second factor is the variation of synthetic water flow velocity of 8 cm3/s, 14 cm3 / s and 19 cm3/s. For 20 seconds once, where each treatment is done 3 times repetition. The result of the research shows the speed of synthetic sea water with the highest speed of 19 cm2 / s, and the synthetic river water with the highest speed of 19 cm2/s, has the highest average voltage value of 8.033 mV, and the highest power density of 1.141 mW/m2, at The speed of synthetic sea water with the lowest speed of 8 cm2/s, and synthetic river water with the lowest speed of 8 cm2/s resistance the highest average of 0.005 ohm/cm2.
