Abstract

Aktivitas keramba jaring apung (KJA) dapat mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas air. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan profil kualitas fisika kimia air dan struktur komunitas Diatom serta dampak aktivitas KJA di Waduk Lahor terhadap perubahan kualitas air berdasarkan Diatom sebagai bioindikator. Penentuan lokasi penelitian menggunakan purposive random sampling berdasarkan aktivitas KJA dengan delapan stasiun pengamatan dan tiga kali pengulangan pada masing-masing stasiun. Pengambilan sampel Diatom dengan water sampler vertikal dan disaring menggunakan plankton net. Identifikasi dan perhitungan Diatom dengan Counting Chamber Sedgewick Rafter Cell dan buku identifikasi. Hasil identifikasi dan penghitungan Diatom digunakan untuk menentukan struktur komunitas (K, F, KR, FR, INP) dan beberapa indeks biotik (H’ ,ID, D, E, Trophic Diatom Index (TDI) Pollution Tolerant Value (% PTV) dan Indeks Saprobik). Karakter fisika kimia air (pH, konduktivitas, kecerahan, turbiditas, suhu, DO, BOD dan intensitas cahaya) diukur pada lokasi yang sama dengan pengambilan sampel Diatom. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji One Way Anova dengan software SPSS 16.0 serta analisis cluster dan biplot dengan software PAST. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas air di Waduk Lahor berdasarkan parameter fisika kimia air belum memenuhi standar baku mutu untuk perikanan, terutama BOD dan kecerahan. Struktur komunitas diatom didominasi oleh Cocconeis placentula yang menjadi bioindikator adanya pencemaran organik. Aktivitas KJA di Waduk Lahor telah menyebabkan perairan terdeteksi eutrofik - hiper eutrofik (TDI), tercemar organik ringan - sedang (% PTV) dan tergolong ststus B-a mesosaprobik hingga a mesosaprobik (Sal)

English Abstract

The activity of floating net cage (KJA) may cause decreasing water quality. The purpose of this research is to determine the water profile of physic-chemical water quality, the structure of Diatom community and the impact of KJA activity on decreasing water quality in Lahor Reservoir based on a Diatom as bioindicator. Determination of research station using purposive random sampling based on KJA activity with eight observations station and three replication at each station. Diatom sampling was carried out by vertical water sampler that was filtered using plankton net. Identification and counting of Diatoms were carried out by Counting Chamber Sedgewick Rafter Cell. Data were then used to determine community structure (K, F, KR, FR, INP) and some biotic indices (H ', ID, D, E, Trophic Diatom Index (TDI) Pollution Tolerant Value (% PTV) and Saprobit Index). The physic-chemical characteristics of water (pH, conductivity, transparancy, turbidity, temperature, DO, BOD and light intensity) were measured at the same Diatom sampling sites. Data were analyzed by One Way Anova test using SPSS 16.0 software, cluster and biplot analysis with PAST software. The results showed that based on water physic-chemical parameter, water quality in Lahor Reservoir was not met standard of water quality for fishery, particularly BOD and transparancy parameters. The diatomic community structure was dominated by Cocconeis placentula might served as be indicated an organic contamination bioindicator. KJA activity in the Lahor caused Reservoir eutrophic to hyper eutrophic waters (based on TDI), significant eutrophication to heavily organic pollution (based on % PTV) and belongs to B-a mesosaprobic to a mesosaprobic status (based on Sal)
