Abstract
Ulkus peptikum adalah keadaan dimana terjadi kerusakan lapisan epitel mukosa hingga submukosa yang dapat mengakibatkan nyeri dan pendarahan. Ulkus peptikum merupakan penyebab tersering pendarahan saluran cerna bagian atas. VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) mengandung polifenol sebagai anti oksidan dan MCFA (Medium Chain Fatty Acid) yang dapat mengurangi inflamasi pada lambung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh pemberian VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) terhadap gambaran makroskopis lambung tikus (Rattus norvegicus) strain wistar model ulkus peptikum yang diinduksi indometasin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan the post test control group design. Sampel penelitian terbagi menjadi 5 kelompok, yaitu kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, VCO dosis 1,25 ml/kgBB, 2,5 ml/kgBB, 5 ml/kgBB. Penghitungan skor ulkus secara makroskopis menggunakan skor Gusdinar. Hasil analisis uji one way ANOVA menunjukan nilai signifikan 0,00 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada masing-masing kelompok. Pemberian VCO dosis 1,25 ml/kgBB,dosis 2,5 ml/kgBB dan 5 ml/kgBB dapat memberikan penurunan skor ulkus yang bermakna serta pada dosis 5 ml/kgBB tidak ada perbedaan dengan kontrol negatif . Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pemberian VCO dengan dosis 1,25 ml/kgBB, 2,5 ml/kgBB, 5 ml/kgBB mampu mengurangi skor ulkus peptikum.
English Abstract
Gastric ulcer is a condition where there is damage to the mucosal epithelial lining submucosa which can lead to pain and bleeding.. VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) contains polifenol as antioxidant and MCFA (Medium Chain Fatty Acid) as anti inflammation in gastric ulcer. The purpose of this study is to prove that VCO can reduce scores of the severity of ulcers in a rat model induced by indometachin. This study was designed as experimental post test only controlled group. The sample was divided into 5 groups: negative control, positive control, (Indometachin-induced ulcer), treatment 1,2,and 3 (Indometachin induced ulcer + VCO dose 1,25 ml/kgBB, 2,5 ml/kgBB, 5 ml/kgBB respectively) One Way ANOVA test result showed significant value is 0,000 Which means there are significant differences in each group. VCO dose of 1,25 ml/kgBB, 2,5 ml/kgBB, 5 ml/kgBB decrease the ulcer scores. Interestingly, in the optimal dose of VCO which is 5 ml/kgBB there was no significant difference compared with negative controls (non-induced indometachin rat). It can be concluded that VCO dose 1,25 ml/kgBB, 2,5 ml/kgBB, 5 ml/kgBB is able to reduce score of gastric ulcer score in indometachin-induced Wistar rats.
