Abstract
Patient centered care (PCC) dapat meningkatkan keselamatan pasien, namun, belum didukung bukti kajian yang kuat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran implementasi patient centered care dan keselamatan pasien menurut persepsi pasien dan hubungan antara implementasi patient centered care dan keselamatan pasien. Survei cross sectional dilakukan pada pada 107 responden di Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak Puri Bunda Malang secara consecutive sampling. Penerapan PCC diukur dengan kuesioner yang diadaptasi dari Picker Patient Experience Questionnaire. Persepsi pasien tentang keselamatan pasien diukur dengan sepuluh item kuesioner yang dikembangkan dari patient safety goals Joint Committee International. Analisa hubungan dilakukan dengan uji korelasi non parametrik Spearman. Semakin baik implementasi PCC, semakin baik tingkat implementasi keselamatan pasien (r = 0,399 dan p < 0,001). Dimensi PCC dan keselamatan pasien dengan pelaksanaan terendah adalah dukungan moral dan komunikasi efektif.
English Abstract
Patient centered care (PCC) can improve patient safety, however, not yet supported by strong evidence. This research was conducted to describe the patient centered care and patient safety practice as perceived by patient and to identify its relationship. Data were collected from 107 respondents at Puri Bunda Mother and Child Hospital Malang selected based on consecutive sampling. The application of PCC was measured by a questionnaire adapted from the Picker Patient Experience Questionnaire. While the patient's perception of patient safety was measured by ten questionnaire items developed from the patient safety goals of Joint Committee International. Relationship analysis was performed using Spearman non parametric correlation test. The results showed a moderate and significant correlation (r = 0.399 and p < 0.001) between the PCC and level of patient safety implementation. . The PCC dimensions and patient safety with lowest exertion are moral support and effective communication.
