Abstract

Pencemaran air dan tanah yang diakibatkan oleh tangan manusia berimbas pada kerusakan lingkungan terutama pada lahan pertanian yang mengakibatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi pencemaran lingkungan adalah dengan Fitoremediasi. Fitoremediasi menggunakan tanaman air diketahui memiliki kemampuan remediasi pada air yang tercemar logam berat. Tanaman air Lemna minor dan Ceratopyhllum demersum dapat tumbuh pada air yang tercemar logam berat dan mampu mengakumulasi logam berat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan tanaman air dalam mengakumulasi logam berat Pb pada air dan pengaruhnya terhadap tanaman budidaya selada (Lactuca sativa) yang menggunakan air irigasi tercemar logam berat Pb. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai Juni 2017 di Greenhouse Kebun Raya Purwodadi – LIPI. Analisis Kimia dilakukan di Laboratorium Kimia Fakultas MIPA Universitas Brawijaya, Malang. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan terdiri atas Range Finding Test, Fitoremediasi tanaman air dan Perlakuan pada tanaman budidaya. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan yang terdiri dari Perlakuan A1: Lemna minor 2 ppm Pb, Perlakuan A2: Ceratophyllum demersum 5 ppm Pb, Perlakuan A3: Lemna minor 2 ppm Pb, Perlakuan A4: Ceratophyllum demersum 5 ppm Pb, Perlakuan A5: 2 ppm Pb Tanpa Tanaman (kontrol) dan Perlakuan A6: 5 ppm Pb Tanpa Tanaman (kontrol). Tanaman air efektif menurunkan kandungan logam berat Pb pada tanaman Ceratophyllum demersum hingga 81,1% dan tanaman Lemna minor hingga 75,5% pada konsentrasi Pb 2 ppm dan 5 ppm dibawah ambang batas minimum logam berta Pb yaitu 1 ppm sesuai Permen Lingkungan Hidup No.5 tahun 2014 untuk perlakuan A1, perlakuan A3 dan perlakuan A4 dengan nilai berurutan 0,49 ppm, 0,44 ppm, dan 0,94 ppm. Untuk Perlakuan A2, perlakuan A5 dan Perlakuan A6 memiliki nilai yang masih di atas ambang batas minimum yaitu berurutan 1,22 ppm, 1,56 ppm dan 4,31 ppm. Adanya pemberian air hasil fitoremediasi pada tanaman budidaya selada memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman tersebut baik dari panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, berat basah dan berat kering tajuk dan akar, dimana adanya perlakuan membuat tanaman selada tumbuh kurang optimal. Tanaman selada juga diketahui mampu menyerap logam berat Pb dan dikategorikan sebagai tanaman fitostabilisasi.

English Abstract

The pollution of water and soil caused by human hand causes environmental damage especially on agricultural land that resulted in the growth and yield of plants. one of the way to solve the pollution is by pyhtoremediation.Pyhtoremediation by using aquatic plants known have that ability in the polluted water. Water plants Lemna minor and Ceratopyhllum demersum may grow in water that is contaminated with heavy metals and are able to accumulate heavy metals. This research aims to knowing the ability of water plants accumulate heavy metals lead (Pb) in water and its influence on lettuce (Lactuca sativa) that used as irrigation water. This research was conducted in Greenhouse Purwodadi Botanical Gardens, Pasuruan – LIPI on March until June 2017. Chemical analysis was done in the chemistry laboratory, Faculty of Sciences, University of Brawijaya, Malang. The research steps consists of Range Finding Test, phytoremediation, and the treatment plant of lettuce. This reasearch using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 3 replicates that consisted of treatment A1: Lemna minor 2 ppm Pb, treatment A2: Ceratophyllum demersum 5 ppm Pb, treatment A3: Lemna minor 2 ppm Pb, treatment A4: Ceratophyllum demersum 5 ppm Pb, treatment A5: 2 ppm Pb Without plants (control) and treatment A6:5 ppm Pb Without plants (control). The aquatic plants effectively decrease the heavy metals lead (Pb) to 81.1% on plants Ceratophyllum demersum and up to 75.5% plant Lemna minor on lead (Pb) concentration of 2 ppm and 5 ppm below the minimum threshold of metals lead (Pb) 1 ppm according the Ministery of Environment No.5, 2014 for treatment of A1, A3 and A4 treatment treatment with sequential value of 0.49 ppm, 0.44 ppm, and 0.94 ppm. For the treatment of the A2, A5 and A6 has some value which is still above the minimum thresholds which are 1.22 ppm, 1.56 ppm, and 4.31 ppm. The existence of watering from phytoremediation treatment results on the plant cultivation of lettuce give influence on the plant growth which are from the high plants, number of plants, number of leaves, wet and dry weight and root header, where the existence of a treatment plant make lettuce grow less. Lettuce plants are also known to absorb heavy metals lead (Pb) and categorized as a phytostabillization plant.
