Abstract
Penelitian ini secara teoritik menggunakan pendekatan dramatisme Kenneth Burke. Berfokus pada bahasa politik dan melibatkan interpretasi aktivitas komunikasi pada tokoh Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah pentad pendekatan genre political actor and rhetoric meneliti hubungan antara scene, act, agent, agency, purpose, attitude. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Basuki Tjahaja Purnama sebagai sosok aktor politik yang berani, dan tegas namun juga humoris, artikulasi bahasa politiknya berfokus terkait penegakan hukum, demokrasi, pengelolaan pemerintahan yang bersih, transparan dan profesional. Berbagai latar belakang keluarga, organisasi, kepartaian, dan rekam jejak di atas menjadi hal yang unik jika dikaitkan dengan retorika politik Basuki Tjahaja Purnama. Sikapnya yang vokal dan kritisnya mendobrak sekat-sekat ketabuan formal. Ahok seakan tak segan membuka ruang konfrontasi melalui komunikasi politik antar lembaga pemerintah, legislatif, yudikatif, eksekutif serta tokoh-tokoh masyarakat. Benturan argumen, dengan demikian menimbulkan pertarungan wacana (clash of argument), pertentangan, perdebatan sangat dimungkinkan terjadi penyusupan ide dan pesan-pesan politis melalui lakon manipulatif penampilan tokoh politik. Sesuai dengan tujuan dramatisme yaitu memberikan penjelasan logis untuk memahami motif tindakan manusia, atau kenapa manusia melakukan apa yang mereka lakukan.
English Abstract
This research is theoretically using Kenneth Burke's dramatic approach. Focused on the political language and involves the interpretation of communication activities on the character of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama aka Ahok. The analytical method used is the pentad approach of genre of political actor and rhetoric to examine the relationship between scene, act, agent, agency, purpose. The results showed Basuki Tjahaja Purnama as a figure of political actors are brave, and firm but also humorous, focusing its political articulation language related to law enforcement, democracy, governance clean, transparent and professional. The various backgrounds of family, organization, party, and track record above are unique in relation to Basuki Tjahaja Purnama's political rhetoric. Vocal and critical attitude to break the taboo of formal barriers. Ahok seemed reluctant to open a confrontation room through political communication between government agencies, legislative, judiciary, executive and public figures. The clash of arguments, thus giving rise to clash of arguments, contradictions, debates are highly likely to infiltrate political ideas and messages through the manipulative plays of political figures. In accordance with the purpose of dramatism is to provide a logical explanation to understand the motives of human action, or why humans do what they do.
