Abstract
Skripsi ini merupakan penelitian yang menjelaskan mengenai motif atau tujuan utama Estonia dalam memberikan bantuan luar negeri kepada Georgia melalui bantuan Deer Leap Programme pada tahun 2005-2008. Bantuan ini dilihat memiliki motif politik yang cukup kuat karena pada tahun sebelumnya, yaitu tahun 2003 terjadi The Revolution of Roses dinegara Georgia. Dalam melakukan penelitian mengenai motif bantuan ini, penulis menggunakan konsep dari David Sogge, yaitu Aid Allocation Motives. Penulis menganalisis tiga motif yaitu Socio-Political Motives, Mercantile Motives, dan Humanitarian and Ethical Motives. Setelah menganalisis studi kasus dengan motif tersebut didapatkan bahwa Estonia memberikan bantuan dalam Deer Leap Programme kepada Georgia memiliki dua motif yaitu Socio-Political Motives dan Humanitarian and Ethical Motives.
English Abstract
This thesis is a study explaining the motive or main purpose of Estonia in providing foreign assistance to Georgia through the aid of Deer Leap Programme in 2005-2008. This aid is seen to have a strong political motive because in the previous year, the year 2003 occurred The Revolution of Roses in Georgia. In conducting research on the motive of this aid, the author uses the concept of David Sogge, Aid Allocation Motives. The author analyzes three motives: Socio-Political Motives, Mercantile Motives, and Humanitarian and Ethical Motives. After analyzing the case study with the motives, it was found that Estonia provided assistance in the Deer Leap Programme to Georgia having two motives: Socio-Political Motives and Humanitarian and Ethical Motives.
