Abstract
Tembakau Temanggung memiliki fungsi spesifik sebagai tembakau pemberi rasa. Tembakau Temanggung merupakan salah satu tembakau lokal aromatis, berkembang melalui proses adaptasi cukup lama dan dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan lingkungan tumbuh. Lingkungan tumbuh telah memunculkan diferensiasi genotip sehingga muncul kultivar-kultivar lokal yang mempunyai ciri-ciri khusus. Varietas kemloko lebih disenangi oleh industri rokok karena mutunya lebih tinggi dan pada beberapa sentra dapat menghasilkan tembakau srintil. Penilaian karakteristik lahan dilakukan untuk mengetahui kualitas lahan pada tanaman tembakau varietas kemloko dengan cara pengelompokan parameter yang memiliki fungsi dan sifat yang sama ke dalam satu kelompok, kemudian dipilih karakteristik lahan yang paling berpengaruh sesuai dengan kondisi lahan yang dibutuhkan. Data diperoleh dari hasil survei lapang, pengamatan serta analisis laboratorium selanjutnya dilakukan inventarisasi karakteristik lahan dan dibuat model hubungan antara karakteristik lahan dengan produksi dan mutu tanaman serta mengembangkan kriteria kesesuaian lahan untuk tanaman tembakau varietas kemloko. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi sebaran produksi dan mutu tembakau Temanggung varietas kemloko, (2) mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi dan indeks mutu tembakau varietas kemloko, (3) membuat kriteria karakteristik lahan yang berpengaruh terhadap produksi dan mutu tembakau varietas kemloko. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei lapang dengan objek penelitian lahan tembakau varietas kemloko di Kabupaten Temanggung Provinsi Jawa Tengah serta analisis di laboratorium. Tahap penelitian ini dibagi menjadi tiga kegiatan yaitu : 1) Tahap persiapan, 2) Tahap penelitian lapangan, 3) Analisa laboratorium, 4) Pengolahan data. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juni hingga September 2015. Data yang diambil meliputi sampel tanah (komposit dan utuh) yang digunakan untuk analisis laboratorium. Berdasarkan data yang telah diperoleh, dihasilkan dua buah peta yaitu peta sebaran produktivitas dan peta sebaran mutu tembakau Temanggung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakteristik tanah yang mempengaruhi produksi tembakau adalah nilai Ca, Na, Mg, derajat keasaman tanah (pH) dan berat isi (BI), sedangkan karakteristik tanah yang berpengaruh terhadap mutu adalah kandungan Nitrogen (N) dan kadar Magnesium (Mg). Produksi dan mutu tembakau Temanggung varietas kemloko tahun panen 2015 bervariasi rendah sampai tinggi, produksi terendah terletak pada sentra paksi (PS 8) dengan hasil produksi 488,672 kg/ha sedangkan produksi tertinggi terletak pada sentra Lamsi (LS 12) dengan hasil produksi 1450 kg/ha. Mutu tembakau Temanggung varietas kemloko terendah terletak pada sentra Lamsi (LS 10) dengan mutu 9,71 sedangkan mutu tertinggi juga terletak pada sentra Lamsi (LM 4) dengan mutu 69,95
English Abstract
The tobacco from Temanggung has a specific function as flavoring because its unique aroma, evolved through a long process of adaptation and influenced by different environmental to grow. The environment of grow has raised differentiation of genotip so that it appears the local cultivar-cultivar with its special characteristics. The varieties of kemloko preferably by cigarette industry due to higher quality and it is limited in some area. The assessment characteristics of land is conducted to find out the quality of the tobacco land from kemloko varieties by grouping the parameters that have the same functions and characteristics into a single group. Afterwards, the most influential land is selected accordance with the conditions of the land’s needs. The data are obtained from the field study’s results. The observations and subsequent laboratory analysis are conducted an inventory’s characteristics of the land and created the relationship between the land characteristics with production, quality of the plants, and develop criteria for the suitability of tobaccos varieties kemloko land. This research aims to (1) identify the production and distribution quality of Temanggung’s tobaccos from kemloko varieties, (2) to know the factors that affect the production and quality index of tobacco from kemloko varieties, (3) created the land’s characteristics that influence on production and quality of tobaccos kemloko. The methods which are used in this research is field study with tobaccos from kemloko varieties as research object, located in Temanggung of Central Java and the laboratory analysis. The research phases are divided into three activities: 1) preparation phase, 2) stage of fieldwork 3) laboratory analysis 4) the data processing. This research was conducted in June to September 2015. The data which are taken for laboratory analysis are soil samples (composite and intact). Based on the data which have been obtained, there are two pieces of maps; the distribution of productivity map and quality the distribution of tobaccos quality’s map. The results showed the soil characteristics that affect tobacco production is the value of Ca, Na, Mg, the degree of soil acidity (pH) and weight (BI), whereas the soil characteristics that influence on the quality of content is Nitrogen (N) and the levels of Magnesium (Mg). Production and quality of Temanggung tobaccos from kemloko varieties in the year of 2015 are vary from low to high, the lowest production is in the area of the axis (PS 8) with the results of the production 488.672 kg/ha, whereas the highest production is in the center of Lamsi (LS 12) with the results of the production 1450 kg/ha. The lowest quality of the Temanggung tobacco from kemloko varieties is in the Central Lamsi (LS 10) with the quality 9,71 and the highest also in the center of Lamsi (LM 4) with quality 69.95
