Abstract
Dalam mengatasi perubahan iklim di bumi ini, negara – negara di dunia mulai bersatu untuk memberntuk kerjasama internasional di bidang lingkungan. Paris Agreement dibentuk pada tahun 2015 untuk dapat mengurangi efek gas rumah kaca dan diratifikasi oleh China sebagai negara pengasil emisi gas terbesar di dunia di tahun 2016. Dalam keikutsertaannya, China memberikan INDC atau kontribusi yang cukup besar yaitu menurunkan intensitas karbon dioksida hingga 60 – 65% di tahun 2030. Keputusan besar ini dapat memberikan dampak bagi perekonomian China sebagai negara industri terbesar di dunia. Keikutsertaan China dalam Paris Agreement dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi kebijakan luar negeri China dari segi eksternal adalah dampak dari perubahan iklim yang semakin ekstrim dirasakan oleh China. Faktor internal terlihat dari perubahan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang menurun di tahun 2016, dan juga adanya dukungan dari sikap leadership oleh pemerintah China yaitu presiden Xi Jinping.
English Abstract
To deal with climate change on earth, the countries of the world unite to form international environment cooperation. Paris Agreement was established in 2015 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and ratified by China as the world's largest gas emitter country in 2016. For its participation, China gives INDC (Intended National Determined Contribution) as a huge contribution that China will reduce the intensity of its carbon dioxide to 60-65% in 2030. This big decision could have an impact on China's economy as the world's largest industrialized country. China's participation in Paris Agreement is influenced by several factors. The main factor on China's foreign policy is based from an external point that is the impact of extreme climate change that affect China’s domestic. Internal factor is the China slow economic growth in 2016, and the support of leadership by the Chinese government, president Xi Jinping.
