Abstract

Penyadaran masyarakat akan adanya persoalan-persoalan lingkungan tidak bisa diperoleh secara cepat dalam waktu singkat, sehingga diperlukan upaya jangka panjang untuk meyakinkan masyarakat. Maka dari adanya strategi komunikasi edukasi pertanian ramah lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) menganalisis strategi komunikasi edukasi pertanian ramah lingkungan yang diterapkan oleh penyuluh di Desa Sumberngepoh (2) menganalisis hambatan strategi komunikasi edukasi pertanian ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama kurang lebih 3 minggu yaitu pada tanggal 27 Maret 2017 sampai tanggal 17 April 2017. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan tiga orang key informan yaitu Bapak Ir. Wikandaru (Koordinator dan penyuluh Desa Sumberngepoh). Serta lima informan yaitu Bapak Suroto (Ketua Kelompok Tani Sumber Makmur I), dan Bapak Kemin Hardianto (Ketua Kelompok Tani Sumber Makmur II), Bapak Sutrisno, Bapak Sutarji, dan Bapak Mistar (Petani pelopor). Data dilengkapi dengan observasi mengikuti kegiatan dilapang, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyuluh telah melaksanakan beberapa langkah dalam merumuskan strategi komunikasi edukasi mulai dari mengenal khalayak dengan cara pengkategorian khalayak, melihat kondisi kepribadian, karakteristik petani serta melakukan pendekatan perorangan. Menyusun pesan dengan melihat potensi, masalah, pemecahan masalah (PMP) disusun dengan menggunakan struktur pesan yaitu satu sisi serta penyusunan pesan dilakukan secara verbal dan nonverbal. Menetapkan metode dengan menggunakan pendekatan kelompok dan sosialisasi. Seleksi dan penggunaan media penyuluh menggunakan media antarpribadi, media kelompok, media massa. Kegiatan tersebut dapat mempengaruhi petani dalam penerimaan informasi secara kognitif (pengetahuan), afektif (petani merasakan dampak positif terhadap kegiatan) serta secara behavioral (petani berpartisipasi dan menggunakan bantuan modal dalam berusahataninya). Adapun hambatan strategi komunikasi berupa pemilihan waktu, rendahnya antusiasme petani, sulitnya mengubah pola pikir petani serta penggunaan bahasa. Dari hasil penelitian diatas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam perumusan strategi komunikasi dilakukan dengan mengenal khalayak, menyusun pesan, menetapkan metode, seleksi penggunaan media yang dapat mempengaruhi penerimaan pesan kepada petani secara kognitif, afektif dan behavioral. Serta hambatan dalam pelaksanaan berupa pemilihan waktu, rendahnya antusiasme petani, sulit merubah pola pikir serta penggunaan bahasa. Saran untuk penyuluh dalam penyampaian pesan seharusnya menggunakan bahasa petani agar petani antusiasme terhadap kegiatan.

English Abstract

Community awareness of environmental issues could not be retrieved quickly in a short time, so the long-term efforts needed to reassure the public. Therefore, the existence of the communication strategy of eco-friendly agricultural education. The significance of this research is (1) analyzing the communication strategy of environmentally friendly agriculture education applied by extension officers in the village of Sumberngepoh (2) analyzing barriers to communication strategy educational eco-friendly agriculture. This research was conducted for approximately 3 weeks, namely on 27 March 2017 until 17 April 2017. The type of research is qualitative research. The data in this research was obtained through in-depth interviews with three key informant Mr. Ir. Wikandaru (Coordinator and investigator in Desa Sumberngepoh). As well as five the informant Mr. Suroto (Chairman of Tani Sumber Makmur I Group), and the Mr. Kemin Hardianto (Chairman of Tani Sumber Makmur II Group), Mr. Sutrisno, Mr. Sutarji, and Mr. Mistar (the pioneer Farmers). Data is equipped with observation follows the activities of relevant range, as well as the documentation. The results showed that extension officers have been carrying out several steps in formulating educational communications strategy starting from the way audiences know this audience, view the condition of the personality, characteristics of farmer and approach individuals. Compose a message by looking at potential, problem, problem solving (PMP) compiled using a message structure that is one sided as well as the preparation of messages made in verbal and nonverbal. Set the method by approach groups and socialization. Selection and use of the media use print media (leaflet), electronic media (slide) and to make demonstration plot “demplot”. Such activities may affect farmers in receipt of information cognitive (knowledge), affective (farmers feel a positive impact against) as well as in behavioral (farmers participate and use the modals to help their agricultural problems). As for the barriers of communication strategy in the form of selection time, lack the enthusiasm of farmers, the difficulty of changing the mindset of farmers as well as the use of language. From the results above, it can be concluded that in the formulation of the communication strategy undertaken by knowing the audiences, composing messages, setting the selection method, the use of media that can affect the reception of messages to farmers in cognitive, affective and behavioral. As well as the obstacles in the implementation of the election in the form of time, lack the enthusiasm of farmers, it is hard to change patterns and language use. Suggestion for extension officers in delivering the message should use the language of farmers so that the farmers ' enthusiasm towards these activities.
