Abstract

Sintesis katalis Fischer-Tropsch berbasis besi dan berpengemban silika telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh jumlah pelarut dan temperatur kalsinasi terhadap ukuran partikel katalis Fe2O3/SiO2 yang dihasilkan. Metode sintesis katalis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode sol-gel. Katalis Fe2O3/SiO2 yang dihasilkan dikarakterisasi menggunakan FTIR, XRD, AAS, dan PSA.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin banyak jumlah pelarut akan mempengaruhi karakteristik hidrogel yang terbentuk. Hasil FTIR menunjukkan adanya vibrasi Fe-O-Si yang tumpang tindih dengan vibrasi Si-O-Si. Hasil XRD menunjukkan spesi Fe2O3

English Abstract

Synthesis of Fischer-Tropsch catalyst based on iron and silicasupported has been done. This research aims to study the effect of the amount of solvent and the temperature of calcination on the particle size of the resulting Fe2O3/SiO2 catalyst. The method of catalyst synthesis used in this research was sol-gel method. The resulting Fe2O3/SiO2 catalyst was characterized using FTIR, XRD, AAS, and PSA. The results shows that the greater amount of solvent would affect the hydrogel characteristics formed. FTIR results indicates the presence of Fe-O-Si vibrations which overlap with Si- O-Si vibrations. The XRD results shows that the Fe2O3 species
