Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara dukungan sosial orang tua dengan motivasi belajar pada mahasiswa atlet. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa atlet Universitas Brawijaya. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik accidental sampling dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 71 mahasiswa atlet. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari dua alat ukur yang diadaptasi oleh peneliti, yaitu skala dukungan sosial orang tua oleh Johnson dan Johnson dan skala motivasi belajar oleh Murray, dkk. Pengolahan data menggunakan analisis korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan antara dukungan sosial orang tua dengan motivasi belajar pada mahasiswa atlet, dengan korelasi Product Moment Pearson adalah 0,498 dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05). Hal ini menunjukan semakin tinggi dukungan sosial orang tua semakin tinggi motivasi belajar mahasiswa atlet.
English Abstract
This study aimed to examine the relationship between social support parents with learning motivation on student athletes. The method used is quantitative research methods. Respondents in this study is Brawijaya University student athletes. Retrieving data using accidental sampling technique with a number of subjects were 71 student athletes. The data in this study were obtained from the two gauges adapted by researchers, the scale of social support parents by Johnson and Johnson and learning motivation scale by Murray, etc. Processing data using correlation analysis. The results showed that there is a relationship between social support parents with learning motivation on student athletes, with Pearson Product Moment correlation is 0.498 with a significance level of 0.000 (p <0.05). This shows the higher the social support of parents the higher the motivation to learn student athletes.
