Abstract
MOSNONTM merupakan produk biolarvasida berbahan aktif B. thruingiensis D-142 yang digunakan untuk mengendalikan larva nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis toksisitas B. thuringiensis (MOSNONTM) terhadap mortalitas, perilaku, warna dan perkembangan cangkang Lymnaea rubiginosa. Siput air L. rubiginosa diaklimatisasi selama dua minggu sebelum perlakuan kemudian L. rubiginosa juvenil dan dewasa dimasukkan ke dalam akuarium dengan konsentrasi MOSNONTM 0, 5, 10, 15 dan 20 ppm. Lymnaea rubiginosa diamati mortalitasnya, perubahan perilaku menghindar dari air, pakan dan koloni selama 7 hari, dan perubahan cangkang (warna dan ukuran) sebelum dan setelah 2 minggu perlakuan. Faktor abiotik air (suhu, pH, DO dan turbiditas) diukur setiap hari selama 7 hari. Data dianalisis menggunakan Software SPSS 16.0 dengan uji ANOVA (α= 0,05). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa B.thuringensis (MOSNONTM) tidak menyebabkan mortalitas dan perubahan perilaku yang signifikan (p > 0,05) terhadap L. rubiginosa juvenil maupun dewasa. Pada konsentrasi MOSNON 0, 5, 10, 15 dan 20 ppm tidak ada efek toksik pada L. rubiginosa. Bacillus thuringensis D-142 (MOSNONTM) tidak menyebabkan perubahan perilaku (respon makan, berkoloni, pergerakan di air) dan tidak memengaruhi perkembangan dan warna cangkang L. rubiginosa juvenil maupun dewasa sehingga dikategorikan aman (safe) untuk digunakan di lingkungan perairan tawar.
English Abstract
MOSNONTM is one of the larvacide that have the active component was Bacillus thuringiensis D-142. There is one product to reduce mosquito populations especially for Aedes aegypti larvae. The aims of this research was analyze the effect of Bacillus thuringiensis D-142 ( MOSNONTM ) toward non-target organism (Gastropoda: Lymnaea rubiginosa). Lymnaea rubiginosa juvenile and adult were acclimatization in aquarium during 2 weeks and then, slug water (L. rubiginosa) were put in the aquarium with different concentration of bacteria (MOSNONTM). Mortality and behaviour of L. rubiginosa (feeding reponse, colonize, activities on water) were observed during 7 days. The shells were observed (growth and color) after and before MOSNONTM treatment. Abiotic factors (water temperature, alkalinity, Dissolved Oxygen (DO) and turbidity) were measured during 7 days. Data was analyzed using SPSS 16.0 software with ANOVA (α= 0,05). The result showed that B. thuringensis (MOSNONTM) can’t be caused mortality dan behaviour change (feeding response, colonizes, activities on water) toward L. rubiginosa Juvenile or adult. All concentration of MOSNONTM (0, 5, 10, 15 dan 20 ppm ) have no effect on L. rubiginosa. B.thuringensis (MOSNONTM) could not changed behavior (feeding response, colonize, movement in water) and development and color of the shell L. rubiginosa juvenile or adult. Bacillus thuringensis (MOSNONTM) was a potentisal biolarvacide for mosquito larvae and safe for L. rubiginosa.
