Abstract
Bullying merupakan kekerasan fisik dan psikologis jangka panjang yang dilakukan seseorang atau kelompok yang dapat menyebabkan siswa menderita secara fisik, tertekan dan tidak dapat berkonsentrasi dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kejadian bullying dengan harga diri remaja SMP yang bertempat tinggal dipondok pesantren. Desain penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik melalui pendekatan cross – sectional. Responden terdiri dari 170 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah modifikasi kuesioner College Bullying School dan Coopersmith Self esteem Inventory. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebesar 45,3% terjadi bullying dan 60% remaja memiliki harga diri tinggi. Hasil analisis bivariat menggunakan Chi-square didapatkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kejadian bullying dengan harga diri remaja SMP yang bertempat tinggal dipondok pesantren dengan nilai sig= 0.000 (p<0.05). Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan kejadian bullying terjadi pada remaja SMP yang bertempat tinggal dipondok pesantren dan mempengaruhi harga diri. Dapat disarankan dalam perlu dilakukan adanya penyuluhan atau edukasi tentang dampak bullying pada harga diri remaja SMP yang bertempat tinggal dipondok pesantren.
English Abstract
Bullying is physical violence and psychological long-term committed person or group that can cause students to suffer physically, depressed and unable to concentrate properly. The research purposes to determine the relationship of bullying and self-esteem teenager who resides in the pondok junior boarding school. The design of this research is analytic observational through cross-sectional approach. Respondents consisted of 170 students selected through purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used was a modified questionnaire College School Bullying and Coopersmith Self esteem Inventory. The results showed 45.3% were bullying and 60% of adolescents have high self esteem. The results of the bivariate analysis using the Chi-square found a significant relationship between bullying and self esteem teenager who resides dipondok junior boarding school school with sig= 0.000 (p<0.05).Conclusions form this study is bullying occurs in adolescents who reside in the pondok junior boarding schools and affect self esteem. Necessary can be suggested in any counseling or education about the impact of bullying on self-esteem adolescents residing in the Pondok junior boarding school.
