Abstract
This study is based on implementation of waste management by DKP of Malang City. The focus of DKP of Malang City is overcome to the problems of organic waste. Time goes, DKP of Malang City showed fairly good process then the resulting demand from varioys parties to maintain the sustainability of the organization existene. It appears the idea that to reduce organic waste while empower community of Malang City is through the composting. This research uses qualitative research method with the descriptive approach data collection is carried out throught interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis technique using interactive model Miles, Huberman and Saldana (2014) that consists of data collection, data presentation, data condensation, and withdrawal of the conclusion. The result from this study is that implementation program undertaken by DKP of Malang City begin with demands and suggestions to have been waste management through the composting. The actors involved in this implementation program is DKP of Malang City, UPT PSAL and community of Malang City. Form empowerment in the implementation of this program is through socialization and training. The result of implementation program is the addition of ability and knowledge the surrounding community as well as the reduced number of organic waste per day. For DKP of Malang City, this implementation program can help their task to reduce number of organic waste in Malang City. Supporting factors of implementation program is participate from community. While inhibiting factor is there are still rejecting from various community of this program. The suggestion in this study for DKP of Malang City should be give more creative advertisement about implementation program of waste management through the composting to community who rejecting this program. For the community of Malang City should be willing to participate for the sake of creating the success of innovation and willing to provide feedback or complaint if the difficulties in this program.
