Abstract
Obat kumur merupakan larutan yang diberi obat untuk membersihkan mulut. Obat kumur digunakan untuk menyegarkan nafas, mencegah pembentukan plak, mencegah terjadinya karies dan gingivitis, dll. Komposisi obat kumur terdiri dari air, alkohol, cleansing agent, bahan perasa dan pewarna. Kandungan alkohol dalam obat kumur dapat mempengaruhi sifat mekanis resin komposit nanohybrid, khususnya kekuatan tekan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perendaman resin komposit nanohybrid dalam larutan obat kumur beralkohol dan tidak beralkohol terhadap kekuatan tekannya. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah post test only group design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah resin komposit nanohybrid yang berbentuk silindris dengan diameter 4 mm dan tinggi 2 mm. Sampel dibuat sebanyak 30 buah yang terbagi menjadi 3 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol (direndam dalam akuades), kelompok sampel I (direndam dalam obat kumur beralkohol), dan kelompok II (direndam dalam obat kumur tidak beralkohol). Seluruh sampel direndam selama 24 jam. Pengujian kekuatan tekan dilakukan dengan menggunakan Universal Testing Machine. Hasil uji One-Way Anova menunjukkan nilai signifikansi <0,05 sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa perendaman resin komposit nanohybrid dalam larutan obat kumur beralkohol dan tidak beralkohol berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kekuatan tekan resin komposit nanohybrid secara signifikan. Uji Post-Hoc Tukey menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kekuatan tekan yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok sampel I. Namun, tidak ditemukan perbedaan kekuatan tekan yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok sampel II serta antara kelompok sampel I dan kelompok sampel II. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh pada perendaman resin komposit nanohybrid dalam larutan obat kumur beralkohol dan tidak beralkohol terhadap kekuatan tekan.
English Abstract
Mouthwash is a solution containing chemical to clean the mouth. Mouthwash is used for freshen the breath, that help reduce and control plaque, preventing caries and gingivitis, etc. The composition of mouthwash consist of water, alcohol, cleansing agent, flavouring and coloring materials. Alcohol contained in mouthwash can affect the mechanical properties of nanohybrid composite resin, especially compressive strength. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of nanohybrid composite resin immersion in alcoholic and non-alcoholic mouthwash towards its compressive strength.The research design used in this study is post-test only group design. The samples used in this study are cylilndrical nanohybrid composite resin with 4 mm of diameter and 2 mm of height. 30 samples were made and divided into 3 groups; control group (immersed in aquadest), 1st sample group (immersed in alcoholic mouthwash), the 2nd sample group (immersed in non-alcoholic mouthwash). All samples were immersed for 24 hours. Universal Testing machine was used to test the compressive strength. The result of One-Way Anova showed significance value <0,05 so that nanohybrid composite resin immersion in alcoholic mouthwash significantly affect the decrease of the compressive strength. The result of Post-Hoc Tukey showed that there are significant differences between the control group and the 1st sample group. However, there was no significant difference between the control group and the 2nd sample group as well as the 1st and 2nd sample group. The conclusion of this study is there was an effect of nanohybrid composite resin immersion in alcoholic and non-alcoholic mouthwash towards the compressive strength.
