Abstract

Krisis ekonomi dan kemanusiaan yang terjadi di Venezuela menyebabkan tingginya migrasi warga negara Venezuela ke Kolombia. Hal ini dapat dilihat melalui tiga fase perpindahan warga Venezuela yang menandakan eksodus migran Venezuela menuju Kolombia. Kolombia sebagai negara tujuan secara terbuka menerima migran Venezuela dan memberikan kebijakan perlindungan. Dengan menggunakan teori Push and Pull Factor milik Everett Lee, penulis dapat menjelaskan empat variabel yang dapat mempengaruhi seseorang untuk melakukan migrasi. Variabel ini terdiri dari factor associated with the area of origin, factor associated with the area of destination, intervening obstacles dan personal factor. Dalam penelitian ini, faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan migrasi warga Venezuela didasari oleh faktor positif dan negatif berdasarkan indikator politik, ekonomi dan keamanan. Hambatan yang dialami migran selama melakukan perjalanan ke Kolombia juga mempengaruhi migrasi warga Venezuela ke Kolombia. Begitu pun, penilaian pribadi migran Venezuela terhadap Kolombia yang dapat diukur dari tingkat usia, pernikahan, gender serta indikator pendukung dalam menilai perbandingan negara asal dan negara tujuan mereka.

English Abstract

The economic and humanitarian crisis occurring in Venezuela has caused a high migration of Venezuelan citizens to Colombia. This can be seen through the three phases of migration of Venezuelan citizens, which mark the exodus of Venezuelan migrants towards Colombia. Colombia as a destination country openly accepts Venezuelan migrants and provides protection policies. By using Everett Lee's Push and Pull Factor theory, the author can explain four variables that can influence someone to migrate. This variable consists of factors related to the area of origin, factors related to the destination area, intervening obstacles and personal factors. In this research, the factors that influence the migration decisions of Venezuelans are based on positive and negative factors based on politics, economics and security indicators. The obstacles that migrants experience while traveling to Colombia also influence the migration of Venezuelans to Colombia. Likewise, Venezuelan migrants' personal evaluation of Colombia can be measured by age, marriage, gender and supporting indicators in assessing the comparison between their country of origin and their destination country.
