Abstract

Keunggulan kompetitif dalam sektor logistik sangatlah penting bagi Indonesia dalam upaya membangun konektivitas nasional dan internasional. Oleh karena itu Sumber Daya Manusia yang berkualitas adalah kebutuhan setiap perusahaan jasa logistik yang harus terpenuhi, baik pada perusahaan BUMN maupun Swasta. Salah satu ciri yang harus dimiliki karyawan berkualitas adalah memiliki engagement terhadap pekerjaan dan perusahaan tempat mereka bekerja. Budaya Organisasi menjadi salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi Employee Engagement. Tujuan dari penelitian ini diantaranya untuk menggambarkan kondisi Budaya Organisasi dan Employee Engagement pada masing – masing lokasi penelitian, menguji pengaruh Budaya Organisasi terhadap Employee Engagement, dan membandingkan kekuatan pengaruhnya antara dua perusahaan logistik terkait. Populasi penelitian adalah karyawan PT Pos Indonesia (Perero) Kota Surakarta dan karyawan PT Global Jet Express Kota Surakarta yang masing – masing berjumlah 143 dan 170 orang. Melalui penerapan teknik Purposive Sampling didapatkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 97 responden dari PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) dan 107 responden dari PT Global Jet Express. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara penyebaran kuesioner secara langsung di lapangan. Kuesioner menggunakan pengukuran Skala Likert yang terdiri dari 5 skala pilihan jawaban. Hipotesis penelitian dibuktikan oleh metode analisis statistik Regresi Linear Sederhana dan Independent Sample t Test dengan bantuan Software IBM SPSS Statistic versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan dan positif Budaya Organisasi terhadap Employee Engagement serta terbukti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara perusahaan jasa logistik BUMN dan Swasta dalam hal Budaya Organisasi, Employee Engagement, maupun pengaruhnya.

English Abstract

Competitive advantage in the logistics sector is very important for Indonesia in its efforts to build national and international connectivity. Therefore, quality human resources are a need for every logistics service company that must be met, both in state-owned and private companies. One of the characteristics that quality employees must have is being engaged with their work and the company where they work. Organizational culture is one of the factors that influences Employee Engagement. The objectives of this research include describing the condition of Organizational Culture and Employee Engagement at each research location, testing the influence of Organizational Culture on Employee Engagement, and comparing the strength of its influence between the two related logistics companies. The research population was employees of PT Pos Indonesia (Perero) Surakarta City and employees of PT Global Jet Express Surakarta City, totaling 143 and 170 people respectively. Through the application of Purposive Sampling techniques, the sample size was 97 respondents from PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) and 107 respondents from PT Global Jet Express. The data collection technique is by distributing questionnaires directly in the field. The questionnaire uses a Likert scale measurement which consists of 5 answer choice scales. The research hypothesis is proven by the statistical analysis method of Simple Linear Regression and Independent Sample t Test with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics version 25 software. The research results show that there is a significant and positive influence of Organizational Culture on Employee Engagement and it is proven that there are significant differences between state-owned and private logistics service companies in terms of Organizational Culture, Employee Engagement, and its influence.
