Abstract

Skripsi ini membahas penerapan estimasi M-IRLS dengan menggunakan fungsi pembobot Huber dan Tukey Bisquare. Metode ini adalah pengembangan dari metode kuadrat terkecil, sebagai solusi untuk mengatasi data yang tidak berdistribusi normal karena adanya outlier. Dengan adanya regresi robust, model penduga yang dihasilkan akan mempunyai validitas yang lebih baik dan tahan terhadap outlier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan model penduga regresi robust estimasi M-IRLS dengan menggunakan fungsi pembobot Huber dan Tukey Bisquare, serta menentukan pembobot yang terbaik antara Huber dan Tukey Bisquare. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data dari perusahaan asuransi jiwa PT Allianz Life Indonesia.

English Abstract

This thesis discusses the application of M-IRLS estimation using the Huber and Tukey Bisquare weighting functions. This method is a development of the least squares method. This method emerged as a solution to overcome data that is not normally distributed due to outliers. With robust regression, the resulting estimator model will have better validity and be resistant to outliers. This study aims to determine the robust regression estimator model of M-IRLS estimation using the Huber and Tukey Bisquare weighting functions, and determine the best weighting between Huber and Tukey Bisquare. The data used in this study is data from the life insurance company PT Allianz Life Indonesia.
