Abstract

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) merupakan kondisi penumpukan lemak pada sel-sel hati yang memicu terjadinya fibrosis, sirosis, bahkan keganasan. Perubahan gaya hidup berupa latihan fisik dan diet hipokalori merupakan tatalaksana penting pada penyakit NAFLD. Namun, studi tentang pengaruh latihan fisik dan diet hipokalori terhadap jaringan adiposa pada NAFLD masih terbatas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh pemberian latihan fisik dan diet hipokalori terhadap gambaran histopatologi jaringan adiposa epididymal Rattus norvegicus strain wistar model NAFLD. Penelitian true experimental study ini menggunakan rancangan post-test only group design. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari: 1) Kelompok diet normal (DN), 2) Kelompok western diet (KWD), 3) Kelompok Exercise Diet yang diberi western diet pemberian latihan fisik dan diet hipokalori. Lalu dilakukan pengamatan secara histologis dan analisis secara kuantitatif. Data dianalisis dengan SPSS menggunakan Uji Komparasi dan post-hoc dengan software SPSS. Didapatkan perbedaan rata-rata ukuran sel adiposit pada Rattus norvegicus strain wistar model NAFLD tanpa pemberian dengan pemberian latihan fisik dan diet hipokalori. Serta ditemukannya perbedaan yang tidak signifikan dari rata-rata jumlah sel adiposit pada kelompok tanpa pemberian dengan pemberian latihan fisik dan diet hipokalori (P>0.05). Kelompok pemberian diet normal dan kelompok pemberian kombinasi latihan fisik serta diet hipokalori menunjukan gambaran histopatologi yang normal dibandingkan pemberian western diet pada Rattus norvegicus strain wistar model NAFLD. Ditemukan perbedaan rata-rata ukuran sel adiposit yang signifikan antara tiap kelompok intervensi.

English Abstract

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a condition characterized by the accumulation of fat in liver cells, leading to fibrosis, cirrhosis, and even malignancy. Lifestyle changes, such as physical exercise and a hypocaloric diet, are essential in the management of NAFLD. However, studies on the effects of physical exercise and a hypocaloric diet on adipose tissue in NAFLD are still limited. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of physical exercise and a hypocaloric diet on the histopathological characteristics of epididymal adipose tissue in the Wistar strain of Rattus norvegicus NAFLD model. This true experimental study employed a post-test only group design. The research population consisted of 1) Normal diet group (ND), 2) Western diet group (WD), 3) Exercise Diet group receiving a western diet with physical exercise and a hypocaloric diet. Histological observations and quantitative analyses were conducted, and the data were analyzed using SPSS with Comparative Test and post-hoc analysis. There were significance differences in the average size of adipocyte cells in the Wistar strain of Rattus norvegicus NAFLD model without intervention and with physical exercise and a hypocaloric diet. Additionally, non-significant differences were found in the average number of adipocyte cells between the groups without intervention and with physical exercise and a hypocaloric diet (P>0.05). Administration of a normal diet and a combination of physical exercise and a hypocaloric diet showed normal histopathological characteristics compared to the administration of a western diet in the Wistar strain of Rattus norvegicus NAFLD model. Significance differences in the average size of adipocyte cells were also observed in each intervention group.
