Abstract
Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengetahui pengaruh good corporate governance, leverage keuangan terhadap kualitas laporan keuangan dengan variabel kontrol ukuran perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis regresi data panel. Adapun sampel penelitian ini adalah 45 perusahaan BUMN yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2019-2021. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa good corporate governance dan leverage keuangan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kualitas laporan keuangan. Perusahaan BUMN perlu mempertimbangkan karakteristik dewan komisaris, rasio hutang, dan faktor lain untuk meningkatkan kualitas laporan keuangan. Pada sisi lainnya, dewan komisaris perlu memaksimalkan peran mereka agar dapat berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kualitas laporan keuangan. Selain itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa investor perlu mempertimbangkan ukuran perusahaan dalam pengambilan keputusan investasi mereka.
English Abstract
This study seeks to determine the effect of good corporate governance, financial leverage on the quality of financial statements with the control variable company size. This study uses panel data regression analysis method. The sample for this research is 45 state-owned companies listed on the IDX for 2019-2021. This study shows that good corporate governance and financial leverage will affect the quality of financial reports if done together. BUMN companies need to consider the characteristics of the board of commissioners and debt ratios to improve the quality of financial reports. On the other hand, the board of commissioners needs to maximize their role in order to have a significant effect on the quality of financial reports. In addition, this study recommends that investors need to consider company size in making their investment decisions.
