Abstract
Perguruan tinggi sebagai pusat pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Jaminan mutu memastikan kualitas mahasiswa perguruan tinggi bukan hanya memberikan perluasan kesempatan saja (equity) dan meningkatkan mutu (quality) sebagai dua hal yang terpisah, melainkan pemerataan mutu (equity of quality). Aplikasi BIMO by FILKOM UB merupakan bentuk layanan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akademik mahasiswa. Aplikasi ini dapat diakses oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Komputer untuk mendapatkan informasi dan nasihat akademik dari dosen penasihat akademik (PA). Hal ini disebabkan temuan cukup banyak mahasiswa yang tidak mengetahui perihal evaluasi akademiknya, mahasiswa yang jarang melakukan bimbingan akademik, dan kekhawatiran pada masa perkuliahan. Pada penggunaan aplikasi mahasiswa mengeluhkan terkait desain aplikasi yang monoton dan user flow kurang efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi usability dan user experience perbaikan pengalaman pengguna pada aplikasi BIMO by FILKOM UB menggunakan usability testing dan user experience quesionnaire (UEQ) dan pengaruh pendekatan humancentered design (HCD) dalam peningkatan aspekaspek tersebut. Time based efficiency digunakan untuk mengukur usability pada aspek efisiensi dan System Usability Scale (SUS) untuk aspek kepuasan. Metode user experience questionnaire (UEQ) mengukur aspek perspicuity, efficiency, dan dependability. Pengujian ditujukan pada 20 responden dengan menerapkan analisis ujit. Pada penelitian ditemukan adanya perbedaan nilai pada masingmasing aspek desain awal dan desain setelah perbaikan. Perbaikan desain dengan humancentered design (HCD) dan analisis ujit yang dilakukan menunjukan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua desain pada aspek usability (efisiensi dan kepuasan) dan user experience (perspicuity, efficiency, dan dependability).
English Abstract
Colleges serve as centers for the development of science and technology. Quality assurance ensures that the quality of college students is not only about providing equal opportunities (equity) and improving quality as two separate things, but rather about the equal distribution of quality (equity of quality). The implementation of BIMO by FILKOM UB is a service aimed at fulfilling the academic needs of students. This application is accessible to students of the Faculty of Computer Science to obtain information and academic advice from academic advisors (PAs). This is due to findings that many students are unaware of their academic evaluations, students rarely seek academic guidance, and concerns during their academic journey. In using the application, students complain about the monotonous design and inefficient user flow. This research aims to evaluate the usability and user experience improvement on the BIMO application by FILKOM UB using usability testing and the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), along with the influence of the humancentered design (HCD) approach in enhancing these aspects. Timebased efficiency is used to measure usability in terms of efficiency, and the System Usability Scale (SUS) for satisfaction. The User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method measures aspects of perspicuity, efficiency, and dependability. The testing is directed at 20 respondents using ttest analysis. The research revealed differences in values for each aspect between the initial design and the design after improvement. Design improvements with humancentered design (HCD) and ttest analysis show significant differences between the two designs in terms of usability (efficiency and satisfaction) and user experience (perspicuity, efficiency, and dependability).
