Abstract
Meningkatnya bisnis ritel outdoor di wilayah Jabodetabek yang menjadi pusat ekonomi dan keuangan Indonesia sejalan dengan adanya perubahan gaya hidup masyarakat yang kini cenderung lebih suka untuk berada di luar ruangan. Konsep ritel outdoor menawarkan pilihan bagi masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya, seperti pengalaman berbelanja yang unik dan menyeluruh. Salah satu kawasan ritel dengan konsep outdoor adalah Kawasan Cove at Batavia PIK yang hadir dengan mengadaptasi konsep desain yang sejalan dengan gaya hidup masyarakat masa kini sehingga menjadi destinasi wisata yang populer karena mengusung konsep bangunan ritel outdoor dan modern yang berada di tepi pantai. Hal tersebut sejalan dengan fenomena swafoto yang terjadi pada masyarakat yang berkunjung dan mengakibatkan kunjungan yang berulang. Adanya keberagaman tampilan fasad bangunan ritel yang menarik akan memberikan suatu kesan visual tersendiri yang nantinya akan menciptakan suatu preferensi bagi masyarakat, mengingat masyarakat sebagai pengguna serta target utama suatu bangunan ritel untuk dapat memperoleh penghasilan. English Abstract
The increase in the outdoor retail business in the Jabodetabek area which is Indonesia's economic and financial center is in line with changes in people's lifestyles which now tend to prefer the outdoors. The outdoor retail concept offers choices for the public in fulfilling their life needs, such as a unique and comprehensive shopping experience. One of the retail areas with an outdoor concept is the Cove at Batavia PIK area which comes with adapting a design concept that fits the lifestyle of today's society so that it becomes a popular tourist destination because it carries an outdoor concept and a modern retail building located by the beach. This is in line with the selfie phenomenon that occurs when people visit and results in repeated visits. The diversity of attractive facades of retail buildings will provide a distinct visual impression that will create preferences for the community, considering that the community is the main user and target of a retail building for income. Therefore, preferences from the community are needed as a consideration in designing retail building facades. In this study, the quality of the visual elements of the facades of retail buildings in the Cove at Batavia PIK area was assessed based on people's preferences. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis approach. Based on people's preferences, architectural style elements are considered to have the most significant influence on the assessment of building facades in general. The results and findings of this study are expected to become suggestions, recommendations and precedents for designing retail buildings in the future.
