Abstract

Mangrove merupakan jenis tumbuhan yang biasanya berada di pesisir atau sekitar pantai. Berdasarkan Peta Mangrove Nasional yang dirilis oleh Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Tahun 2021, diketahui luas mangrove di Indonesia mencapai 3.364.076 ha yang dibagi menjadi 3 kategori kondisi mangrove yaitu mangrove lebat, mangrove sedang dan mangrove jarang. Pemanfaatan data penginderaan jauh dan SIG banyak dilakukan terutama dalam bidang kelautan salah satunya yaitu untuk pemetaan mangrove. Informasi mengenai luas dan kerapatan vegetasi mangrove digunakan sebagai gambaran seberapa besar kualitas mangrove di wilayah tersebut. Untuk mendapatkan nilai kerapatan vegetasi mangrove, data citra satelit dihitung nilai indeks vegetasinya dan dimasukkan kedalam persamaan alometrik. Penelitian dilakukan selama satu bulan terhitung dari bulan Mei hingga Juni di pesisir Kabupaten Sumenep tepatnya di Kecamatan Saronggi, Kecamatan Gapura dan Kecamatan Kalianget. Metode yang digunakan yaitu menghitung indeks vegetasi menggunakan NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), EVI (Enhanced Vegetation Index), dan SAVI (Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index). Data yang digunakan yaitu citra satelit Landsat 8 OLI tahun 2022 dan data hasil survey lapang mengenai jenis mangrove dan hasil kerapatannya. Tingkat kerapatan mangrove di wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Sumenep berdasarkan hasil indeks vegetasi NDVI diperoleh nilai dengan rentang berkisar antara -0,15 – 0,75 dan didominasi oleh kelas kerapatan 0,53 – 0,67 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori agak tinggi. Tingkat kerapatan mangrove berdasarkan hasil indeks vegetasi EVI diperoleh nilai dengan rentang berkisar antara -0,08 – 0,94 dan didominasi oleh kelas kerapatan 0,38 – 0,6 termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Tingkat kerapatan mangrove berdasarkan hasil indeks vegetasi SAVI diperoleh nilai dengan rentang berkisar antara -0,06 – 0,57 dan didominasi oleh kelas kerapatan 0,3 – 0,6 termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi. Tingkat kerapatan mangrove di wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Sumenep berdasarkan hasil transek termasuk ke dalam kategori padat dengan luas berdasarkan pengolahan data citra sekitar 1289,69 ha.

English Abstract

Mangrove is a type of plant that is usually located on the coast or around the beach. Based on the National Mangrove Map released by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in 2021, it is known that the area of mangroves in Indonesia reaches 3,364,076 ha which is divided into 3 categories of mangrove conditions, namely dense mangroves, moderate mangroves and sparse mangroves. The utilization of remote sensing data and GIS is widely done, especially in the marine field, one of which is for mangrove mapping. Information on the area and density of mangrove vegetation is used as an illustration of how much mangrove quality in the region. To get the value of mangrove vegetation density, satellite image data calculated the value of vegetation index and entered into the allometric equation. The research was conducted for one month from May to June on the coast of Sumenep Regency precisely in Saronggi District, Gapura District and Kalianget District. The method used is to calculate the vegetation index using NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), EVI (Enhanced Vegetation Index), and SAVI (Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index). The data used are Landsat 8 OLI satellite images in 2022 and field survey data on mangrove types and density results. The level of mangrove density in the coastal areas of Sumenep based on the results of the NDVI vegetation index obtained values with a range of -0.15 - 0.75 and dominated by the density class 0.53 - 0.67 which is included in the category rather high. Mangrove density levels based on the results of the EVI vegetation index obtained values with a range ranging from -0.08 to 0.94 and dominated by the density class 0.38 to 0.6 included in the medium category. The level of mangrove density based on the results of the SAVI vegetation index obtained values with a range of -0.06 - 0.57 and dominated by the density class 0.3 - 0.6 included in the high category. The level of mangrove density in the coastal areas of Sumenep Regency based on the results of transects is included in the dense category with an area based on image data processing around 1295.62 ha.
