Abstract
Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan. Pertama, untuk mengidentifikasi dampak tingkat teknologi yang diterapkan oleh koperasi di Provinsi Bali secara langsung terhadap kinerja koperasi. Kedua, untuk mengidentifikasi dampak tingkat teknologi yang diterapkan oleh koperasi di Provinsi Bali secara tidak langsung terhadap kinerja koperasi melalui inovasi produk. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data primer yang diperoleh dari wawancara tatap muka pada 352 manajemen puncak koperasi seluruh kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Bali yang menerapkan teknologi. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh (sensus populasi) dengan teknik analisa menggunakan partial leas square dengan program smartPLS 3. Hasil pengujian path analisis menunjukkan tingkat teknologi yang diterapkan berpengaruh positif secara langsung terhadap kinerja koperasi dan tingkat teknologi yang diterapkan berpengaruh positif secara tidak langsung terhadap kinerja koperasi melalui inovasi produk, dimana inovasi produk merupakan variabel intervening pelengkap (complementary intervening). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, variabel laten tingkat teknologi yang diterapkan dibentuk oleh strategi model bisnis, strategi digital, faktor eksternal, dan sumber daya organisasi. Variabel intervening inovasi produk dibentuk oleh kesesuaian dan keunggulan relatif dan variabel laten kinerja koperasi dibentuk oleh kesejahteraan anggota koperasi, tambahan manfaat bagi masyarakat, peningkatan pelayanan/kemitraan, retensi anggota, dan partisipasi anggota. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat teknologi yang diterapkan oleh koperasi maka semakin tinggi kinerja koperasi. Saran yang diberikan kepada pemerintah agar mendorong koperasi untuk meningkatkan strategi model bisnis, strategi digital, mengatasi faktor eksternal, dan meningkatkan sumber daya organisasi agar tingkat teknologi yang diterapkan oleh koperasi mampu meningkatkan kinerja koperasi. Untuk mendukung tingkat teknologi yang diterapkan oleh koperasi, pemerintah perlu meningkatkan aksesibilitas teknologi yang lebih luas bagi koperasi di seluruh kabupaten/kota Provinsi Bali. Implikasi utama dari penelitian ini mempromosikan adopsi teknologi, penyelarasan kebijakan, inklusivitas, pemberdayaan koperasi, keberlanjutan, pengembangan ekonomi lokal, peningkatan daya saing, peningkatan kolaborasi serta peningkatan pengetahuan dan kapasitas.
English Abstract
This research has two goals. As the first one is to identify the direct effect of technological application level by cooperatives in Bali Province on their performance, the second one is to identify the indirect impact through product innovation. This study uses primary data, harvested from face-to-face interviews and analyzed using Partial Least Squares in SmartPLS 3. The respondents were selected through saturated sampling, or population census. They are 352 people with the position of top management in all cooperatives in the cities and regencies in the province that apply technology. The results of the path analysis indicate that the level of technology applied by the cooperatives has direct and positive effects on their performance and has indirect effect on the said performance through product innovation, which served as the complementary intervening variable. Furthermore, as the first latent variable, which is the applied technological level, was found to be shaped by business model strategies, digital strategies, external factors, and the organization’s resources; the intervening variable, which is product innovation, was identified to be shaped compatibility and relative advantages, while the second laten variable, which is the cooperatives’ performance, were proven to be comprised by the cooperative members’ wellbeing, additional benefits for the society, increased services and partnership, member’s retention, and member’s participation. The findings above prove that the higher the level of the applied technology, the higher the cooperatives’ performance. Therefore, in order to enhance their performance, the government is suggested to encourage them to increase their business model and digital strategies, to handle their external factors well, and to increase their organizational resources. Then, the government should also provide cooperatives in regencies and cities in the province with broader access to technology to support its application. The main implication of this study is the promotion of technological adoption, policy alignment, inclusivity, cooperative empowerment, sustainability, local economic development, competitiveness enhancement, collaboration enhancement and knowledge and capability upgrading.
