Abstract

Budaya adalah kebiasaan dan adat istiadat setempat. Budaya setiap masyarakat berbeda-beda, sebagai contoh budaya di Bali sangatlah berbeda dengan budaya yang ada di Barat. Dewasa ini banyak kasus kontroversi-kontroversi turis di Bali. Alasan kenapa mereka melakukan kontroversi tersebut ialah dikarenakan minimnya pengetahuan mereka terhadap budaya Bali. Keminim pengetahuan mereka sama dengan alien ketika datang dan singgah di Bumi, karena hal inilah yang mendasari penulis dalam pembuatan Metafora Alien Dalam Karya Seni Lukis. Penulis menggunakan metode Alma M. Hawkins dalam menciptakan karya lukis, yaitu explorasi, improvisasi, dan pembentukan. Tahapan penciptaann penulis berasal dari kontroversi-kontroversi turis yang berulah di Bali, kemudian turis tersebut akan dimetaforakan bentuknya menjadi bentuk Alien. Hasil Penciptaan karya penulis terbuat dari mix media acrylic, dan cat minyak. Karya nantinya berjumlah 7 dengan diameter terkecil berukuran 60 x 100 cm, hingga yang terbesar yang berukuran 100 x 140 cm. Karya nantinya akan dipajang mulai dari yang terkecil hingga yang terbesar. Penulis berharap karya penulis menjadi sumber referensi bagi mahasiswa-mahasiswa Seni Rupa lain yang nantinya nantinya akan skripsi

English Abstract

Culture is local tradition and customs. Cultures in every societies are different, for example culture in Bali is lot more different than culture in the west. Nowadays there’re a lot controversies about tourist in Bali. The reasons why they were doing some kind of controversies is because their limited knowledge about Balinese Culture. Their limited culture is same as aliens when they come, and stop over here, all of those reasons are basic ideas from the author to create a title Metafora Alien Dalam Karya Seni Lukis. Author use Alma M. Hawkins as a method to create a painting, which is; exploration, improvisation, and Forming. The creationing method that author use come from many tourist’s controversies who make some problem in Bali, then the tourist will be metaphored to become the shape of the alien The results of the creation about author’s arts are made of from mix media like, acrylic, and oil pastel. Author will make 7 arts with smallest diameter 60 x 100 cm size, until the largest one that has 100 x 140 cm size. The art will be show from the smallest one to the larger one. Author has hope that author’s art become sources of references from others thesis of fine art college students.
