ZALZA SAFITRI, SYANEL and Medha Baskara, SP., MT (2023) Pengaruh Pemberian Konsentrasi Eco-Enzyme Dan Dosis Pupuk Npk Terhadap Pertumbuhan Rumput Bermuda (Cynodon Dactylon (L.) Pers.) Var. Tifway. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
One type of plant that is often used in a landscape is grass or commonly called turfgrass. Landscape grass is widely used as land cover such as in airport and roadside areas or even in sports areas and playgrounds. The most frequently used landscape grass in Indonesia is bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers.) Var. Tifway. As time goes on, market demand for landscape grass has increased due to increasing public interest in landscape grass. Therefore, the grass center market is increasingly demanded to produce grass seeds that have optimal quality. Intensification through the fertilization approach can be one of the efforts to meet optimal grass quality. Intensively fertilization of grass is carried out using imported inorganic fertilizers, especially NPK compound fertilizers. However, the use of imported inorganic fertilizers is often not available in a right time, which will affect lawn maintenance resulting in a decrease in grass quality. Efforts that can be made is to replace imported NPK fertilizer with local NPK fertilizer, namely NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer. However, the use of inorganic fertilizers in the long term has a bad effect on the environment, so it needs to be reduced. The use of inorganic fertilizers needs to be balanced with the use of organic materials which are rich in enzyme activity in the form of eco-enzymes. NPK fertilizer can be combined with eco-enzymes to increase growth plant. NPK fertilizer is expected to be able to increase the availability of nutrients, while the provision of eco-enzymes is expected to optimize nutrient absorption for bermuda grass. This study aims to obtain the appropriate eco-enzyme concentration and dose of NPK fertilizer for the growth of bermuda grass. The research was conducted in Kepanjen District, Malang Regency. The study was conducted using a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD). The first factor was the eco-enzyme concentration which consisted of treatment levels of 0 ml L-1 (E0), 20 ml L-1 (E1), and 40 ml L-1 (E2). The second factor was the dose of NPK fertilization which consisted of treatment levels of 0 kg ha-1 (N0), 320 kg ha-1 (N1), and 630 kg ha-1 (N2). Observations made included the number of tillers, root length, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, and percentage of grass cover. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using Analysis of Variety with a correction level of 5%. If the effect is real, then the Honest Significant Difference Test (HSD) is continued at the 5% level. The results showed that bermuda grass with an eco-enzyme concentration of 40 ml L-1 (E2) and NPK fertilizer 630 kg ha-1 (N2) was able to produce the number of tillers, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, and percentage of grass cover. In the treatment of eco-enzyme concentration of 40 ml L-1 (E2) it was able to produce root length.
