Abstract

Kota Malang merupakan salah satu kota yang memiliki beberapa perguruan tinggi unggulan, salah satunya yaitu Universitas Brawijaya. Universitas Brawijaya mendapat predikat sebagai penerima mahasiswa baru terbanyak di Indonesia dengan mayoritas mahasiswa memilih tempat tinggal yang dekat dari kampus. Hal ini menyebabkan bertambahnya pengguna jalan raya yang dominan memakai kendaraan pribadi sebagai moda transportasi di kawasan sekitar Universitas Brawijaya. Sehingga, angkutan shuttle menjadi alternatif lain yang diperlukan untuk mengurangi volume lalu-lintas disekitar kawasan Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendapat mahasiswa terhadap angkutan shuttle dan untuk mengetahui karakteristik perjalanan, peluang angkutan shuttle, dampak angkutan shuttle terhadap volume kendaraan, dan rekomendasi terkait angkutan shuttle di kawasan Universitas Brawijaya. Karakteristik perjalanan didapatkan dari analisis asal tujuan responden. Peluang angkutan shuttle dianalisis menggunakan stated preference yang didapatkan dari kuesioner yang disebar ke mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya. Volume kendaraan didapatkan dari selisih probabilitas angkutan shuttle dan probabilitas kendaraan pribadi yang dikalikan dengan asumsi jumlah mahasiswa dalam satu hari. Rekomendasi terkait angkutan shuttle berupa titik halte, rute, dan jadwal pada tiap halte. Hasil dari pengelolaan data yang pertama adalah lokasi tempat tinggal mahasiswa dengan pergerakan paling besar berada pada Kelurahan Jatimulyo. Kedua, dari didapatkan peluang penggunaan Angkutan shuttle untuk mahasiswa universitas Brawijaya bisa dinilai cukup tinggi dikarenakan mayoritas mahasiswa menyatakan setuju terhadap konsep angkutan shuttle. Ketiga, angkutan shuttle dapat mengurangi volume kendaraan yang akan menuju kampus sebanyak 14529 kendaraan pribadi. Keempat titik halte yang direncanakan sebanyak 26 halte pada 5 rute dengan asumsi interval waktu angkutan shuttle datang setiap 30 menit

English Abstract

Malang City is one of the cities that has several excellent universities, one of them is Brawijaya University. Brawijaya University has the title as the largest recipient of new students in Indonesia with the majority of students choosing a place to live near the campus. This causes an increase in road users who mainly use private vehicles as a mode of transportation in the area around Brawijaya University. Therefore, shuttle transportation is another alternative that is needed to reduce the volume of traffic around the Brawijaya University area. This study aims to determine student opinions on shuttle transportation and to determine travel characteristics, shuttle transportation opportunities, the impact of shuttle transportation on vehicle volume, and recommendations related to shuttle transportation in the Brawijaya University area. Travel characteristics were obtained from the analysis of respondents' origin and destination. Shuttle opportunities were analyzed using stated preference obtained from questionnaires distributed to Brawijaya University students. Vehicle volume is obtained from the difference between the probability of shuttle transportation and the probability of private vehicles multiplied by the assumed number of students in one day. Recommendations related to shuttle transportation in the form of stop points, routes, and schedules at each stop. The results of the data management are first, the location of the student residence with the largest movement is in Jatimulyo Village. Second, from the obtained opportunities for the use of shuttle transportation for Brawijaya University students can be considered quite high because the majority of students agree to the concept of shuttle transportation. Third, the shuttle can reduce the volume of vehicles going to campus by 14529 private vehicles. Fourth, the planned stop points are 26 stops on 5 routes with the assumption that the shuttle transit time interval comes every 30 minutes.
