Abstract
Laut menjadi tempat akumulasi sampah yang masuk melalui muara sungai, sehingga muara sungai menjadi objek yang menarik untuk dikaji. Salah satunya yaitu Muara Kali Lamong yang bermuara di Teluk Lamong. Teluk ini merupakan tempat pertumbuhan ekonomi, industri, serta aktivitas pelabuhan di Surabaya dan Gresik. Padatnya aktivitas di wilayah ini menyebabkan terjadinya pencemaran. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, diperlukan aksi yang tepat, salah satunya dengan mengetahui pergerakan arus melalui pemodelan yang dapat merepresentasikan pola dan arah pergerakan sampah di Teluk Lamong. Pemodelan dibuat berdasarkan persamaan kontinuitas dan momentum menggunakan software MIKE 21. Pembuatan model membutuhkan beberapa input data seperti data garis pantai, batimetri, pasang surut, angin, serta debit sungai. Model yang dibuat terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu model hidrodinamika dan model particle tracking. Hasil kedua model dianalisis untuk mengetahui pola pergerakan arus serta pola persebaran dan arah pergerakan sampah secara spasial dan temporal. Hasil model akan diverifikasi melalui perhitungan Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) untuk mengetahui perbandingan antara model dengan kondisi sebenarnya di lapangan. Hasil pemodelan hidrodinamika menunjukkan bahwa pola pergerakan arus di Teluk Lamong pada bulan Maret 2023 cenderung bergerak bolak-balik mengikuti perubahan pasang surut. Saat kondisi pasang, arus akan bergerak menuju selatan (Teluk Lamong) dan mendekati daratan, sebaliknya saat surut, arus akan bergerak ke arah timur (Selat Madura) dan menjauhi daratan, sehingga diduga bahwa arus yang mendominasi di Teluk Lamong adalah arus pasang surut. Arus model memiliki kecepatan 0,06 – 0,16 m/s dan dominan bergerak menuju arah timur. Model particle tracking menunjukkan bahwa pola persebaran dan perpindahan sampah laut terapung (SLT) di Teluk Lamong pada bulan Maret 2023 bergerak bolak-balik mengikuti aliran arus pasang surut, pada saat kondisi surut, SLT hanya tersebar di bagian selatan dan barat (Teluk Lamong), dan saat pasang SLT akan bergerak ke arah timur dan utara (Selat Madura). Jumlah kumpulan sampah yang terlihat pada domain selama bulan Maret 2023 mulai mengalami pengurangan pada tanggal 7 Maret 2023 dan terus berkurang satu per satu hingga hari tanggal 25 Maret 2023. Secara keseluruhan, pada waktu awal pergerakan sampah yang keluar dari Muara Kali Lamong sempat terhenti di sekitar pelabuhan peti kemas Kali Lamong, namun setelah beberapa waktu sampah tersebut mulai bergerak kembali dan setelah satu bulan pergerakan sampah dominan tersebar di sekitar mulut teluk. Hasil model diharapkan dapat dijadikan sumber informasi untuk perumusan kebijakan lokal maupun nasional terkait dampak secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dari sampah laut yang ada di Teluk Lamong.
English Abstract
The sea becomes a place of accumulation of waste that enters through the river estuary, so that the river estuary becomes an interesting object to study. One of them is the Lamong River Estuary which empties into Lamong Bay. This bay is a place of economic growth, industry, and port activities in Surabaya and Gresik. The density of activities in this area causes pollution. To overcome this problem, appropriate action is needed, one of which is by knowing the current movement through modeling that can represent the pattern and direction of waste movement in Lamong Bay. Modeling is based on continuity and momentum equations using MIKE 21 software. Modeling requires several data inputs such as shoreline data, bathymetry, tides, wind, and river discharge. The model created is divided into two, namely the hydrodynamics model and the particle tracking model. The results of both models are analyzed to determine the pattern of current movement as well as the spatial and temporal distribution pattern and direction of waste movement. The model results will be verified through the calculation of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) to determine the comparison between the model and the actual conditions in the field. The results of hydrodynamic modeling show that the pattern of current movement in Lamong Bay in March 2023 tends to move back and forth following tidal changes. During high tide conditions, the current will move towards the south (Lamong Bay) and approach the mainland, otherwise at low tide, the current will move towards the east (Madura Strait) and away from the mainland, so it is suspected that the dominating current in Lamong Bay is the tidal current. The modeled current has a speed of 0.06 - 0.16 m/s and dominantly moves towards the east. The particle tracking model shows that the pattern of distribution and displacement of floating marine debris (SLT) in Lamong Bay in March 2023 moves back and forth following the flow of tidal currents, during low tide conditions, SLT is only scattered in the southern and western parts (Lamong Bay), and during high tide SLT will move east and north (Madura Strait). The amount of waste accumulation seen in the domain during March 2023 began to decrease on March 7, 2023 and continued to decrease one by one until the day of March 25, 2023. Overall, at the initial time the movement of waste coming out of the Kali Lamong estuary was stopped around the Kali Lamong container port, but after some time the waste began to move again and after one month the movement of waste was dominantly spread around the mouth of the bay. The model results are expected to be used as a source of information for the formulation of local and national policies related to the direct and indirect impacts of marine debris in Lamong Bay.
