Abstract
Belakangan ini, mahasiswi menjadi semakin konsumtif. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi hal tersebut, baik internal maupun eksternal. Beberapa faktor mungkin tidak disadari telah menyebabkan mereka menjadi lebih konsumtif dari batas wajar, karena semakin sulit untuk membedakan antara kebutuhan dengan keinginan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dari Korean wave dan Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) terhadap perilaku konsumtif mahasiswi FEB UB. Metode yang digunakan untuk analisis ialah Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data yang digunakan merupakan data primer dengan jumlah sampel 210 yang dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner online. Seluruh responden merupakan mahasiswi FEB UB tanpa membedakan jurusan maupun angkatan. Pengolahan data dibantu dengan software SmartPLS 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan positif antara FOMO terhadap perilaku konsumtif mahasiswi FEB UB dan hubungan yang tidak signifikan antara Korean wave terhadap perilaku konsumtif mahasiswi FEB UB. Selain itu, diketahui kekuatan prediksi dari model ini berada pada level sedang dan seluruh indikator yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel laten teruji valid dan reliabel.
English Abstract
Nowadays, female students are becoming increasingly consumptive. Many factors influence this, both internal and external. Several factors may not be realized that have caused them to become more consumptive than normal, because it is increasingly difficult to distinguish between needs and wants. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Korean wave and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) on the consumptive behavior of female students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Brawijaya. The method used for analysis is Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The data used is primary data with a sample size of 210, which was collected through an online questionnaire. All respondents were FEB UB students regardless of age, major, or class. Data processing was assisted by SmartPLS 3 program. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between FOMO and the consumptive behavior of FEB UB female students and an insignificant relationship between the Korean wave and the consumptive behavior of FEB UB female students. In addition, it is known that the predictive power of this model is at a moderate level and all indicators used to measure latent variables are tested valid and reliable.
