Abstract
Sistem dual-banking yang dianut Indonesia menunjukkan fenomena hijrah di masyarakat terlihat dari menurunnya jumlah kredit dan dana pihak ketiga pada bank konvensional. Di sisi lain, telah terjadi peningkatan pembiayaan dan dana pihak ketiga pada bank syariah dengan tingkat pangsa pasar di Sumatera Barat mencapai 6,8% lebih besar dari nasional yang kurang dari 5% pada tahun 2016. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kota Padang, Provinsi Sumatera Barat yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses keputusan hijrah dari bank konvensional dengan merujuk pada Teori Perilaku Terencana oleh Ajzen. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif Schultz terhadap fenomenologi melalui "because of motives" dan "order to motives". Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dari informan kunci, informan pendukung, dan informan ahli. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 4 tema sebagai berikut: 1.) Keyakinan spiritual; Bunga bank termasuk kategori riba. 2.) Momentum; Belajar Al- Qur'an dan mendengar ceramah ustadz. 3.) Godaan; Sebelum dan sesudah hijrah. 4.) Hikmah; Keberkahan dan ketenangan hidup.
English Abstract
Despite the dual banking system applied in Indonesia, the phenomenon of hijra is growing amid the society, as seen in the decreasing amount of loans and thirdparty funds in conventional banks. Meanwhile, the amount of loans and third-party finds in Islamic banks is increasing. The banks’ market share in West Sumatra was 6.8% in 2016, which was higher than the national average of less than 5% in the same year. This research was conducted in Padang city of West Sumatra to analysis how people make their decision to do hijra from using conventional banks by referring to Ajzen’s Theory of Planned Behavior. The analysis method employed in this study is Schultz’s qualitative descriptive approach to phenomenology through “because of motive” and “in order to motive”. The data was harvested from interviews with key informants, supporting informants, and expert informants. The results of this research have led to the discovery of four themes: (1) Spiritual belief; The bank interests are considered as usury, (2) Momentum; Studying Quran and listening Islamic scholars’ speech, (3) Temptation; Before and after their decision to do hijra, and (4) Wisdom; Blessing and life peace.
