Abstract

Suatu peletakan system Wi-Fi yang baik diperlukan untuk mengoptimalkan level daya terima dari transmitter ke receiver. Karakteristik yang paling berpengaruh dalam menentukan performance sebuah sistem Wi-Fi adalah nilai level daya, karena nilai ini yang dapat digunakan untuk menentukan coverage area dari sebuah pemancar (access point). Metode Algoritma Genetika dipilih karena dilihat dari referensi yang peneliti baca cukup sesuai untuk mengatasi masalah yang terkait dengan optimasi. Dengan diadakannya penelitian ini akan sangat membantu dalam pengoptimalan jaringan Wi-Fi dan dapat mengurangi biaya implementasi. Lokasi yang dipilih untuk melakukan pengoptimalan yaitu di daerah kampus Universitas Brawijaya, tepatnya di Perpustakaan Pusat. Pada Gedung Lantai 2 Perpustakaan Universitas Brawijaya yang terdapat 10 titik access point dan 8 titik access point di area Gazebo Perpustakaan yang mana akan dilakukan penataan ulang agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan mahasiswa seperti Kuat Sinyal, SNR, Kanal, dan Coverage Area. Pada Area Lantai 2 Perustakan penulis mengurangi 1 buah access di ruang Label Putih, karena area tersebut banyak terdapat access point yang overlap. Dan untuk letak posisi access point yang paling optimal untuk Ruang Label Putih yaitu pada koordinat (28,47); (29,13); (13,21); (19,36) dengan coverage area sebesar 93,3904 %. Untuk di Ruang Label Merah titik optimal access point yaitu pada koordinat (24,4); (27,17); (10,18) dengan coverage area sebesar 93,7501 %. Sedangkan untuk Ruang Skripsi Thesis dan Disertasi titip optimal access point yaitu pada koordinat (16,30); (34,16) dengan coverage area sebesar 94,6205 %. Performansi titik access point tersebut mendapatkan Kuat Sinyal sebesar 62,4 % , SNR sebesar 68,1 % kemudian access point tidak terlalu banyak mengalami overlapping serta dana yang di butuhkan sebesar Rp. 68.670.000,-. Sedangkan jika dibandingkan dengan performansi sebelum dilakukan penataan ulang , performansi Kuat sinyal sebesar 57,4 %, SNR 59,4 %, kemudian banyak access point yang mengalami overlapping serta dana yang dibutuhkan untuk pemasangan access point tersebut mencapai Rp. 70.440.000,-. Untuk area Gazebo tidak memerlukan penataan ulang karena area tersebut tidak mengalami masalah pada kanal, kuat sinyal, dan SNR.

English Abstract

Laying a Wi-Fi system that is required to optimize the received power level from the transmitter to the receiver. Characteristics of the most influential in determining the performance of a Wi-Fi system is the power level values, because these values can be used to determine the coverage area of a transmitter (access point). Genetic Algorithm Method selected as seen from the reference that the researcher read quite appropriate to address the problems associated with optimization. With the holding of this research will be very helpful in optimizing Wi-Fi network and can reduce the cost of implementation. The location was selected to perform an optimization that is in the area of UB's campus, exactly at the Central Library. On the 2nd Floor Library Building UB that there is a 10 point access point and 8 point access point in the Library Gazebo area which will be a re-ordering to meet the needs of students such as signal strength, SNR, channel, and Coverage Area. On Floor Area 2 Perustakan author of reducing 1 piece White Label access in the room, because the area is a lot of access points that overlap. And for the location of the position of the most optimal access point for the White Label Space is at the coordinates (28.47); (29.13); (13.21); (19.36) with a coverage area of 93.3904%. Red Label Space for optimal point access point that is at the coordinates (24.4); (27.17); (10,18) with a coverage area of 93.7501%. As for the Thesis and Dissertation Thesis Lounge Babysitting optimal access point that is at the coordinates (16,30); (34.16) with a coverage area of 94.6205%. The point performance gain access point signal strength by 62.4%, amounting to 68.1% SNR then the access point is not too much experience overlapping as well as the fund is needed is Rp. 68.67 million, -. Meanwhile, when compared with the performance before re-ordering, signal strength performance of 57.4%, 59.4% SNR, then many who have overlapping access point as well as the funds needed for the installation of the access point reaches Rp. 70.44 million, -. For the Gazebo area do not require rearrangement because the area is not experiencing problems on the canal, a strong signal, and SNR.
