Abstract
Risiko ada di semua organisasi termasuk di lembaga pendidikan Islam pondok pesantren. Risiko perlu untuk dikelola secara tepat dan benar, karena kegagalan mengelola risiko dapat memiliki konsekuensi serius bagi operasional organisasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengungkap dan menjelaskan persepsi pengelola terhadap manajemen risiko, menjelaskan penerapan manajemen risiko Pondok Pesantren, menghasilkan kerangka kerja/framework manajemen risiko lembaga pendidikan Islam Pondok Pesantren. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengelolaan manajemen risiko non keuangan dengan mengacu pada studi Multikasus Holistik. Setting penelitian di dua pondok pesantren di Kabupaten Banyuwangi, yaitu: Pondok Pesantren Manba’ul Ulum Muncar dan Pondok pesantren Darussalam Blokagung. Wawancara dengan informan kunci dari dalam pesantren (pengelola dan pengurus). Informan pendukung berasal dari Stakeholder. Menggunakan enam bentuk pengumpulan data yaitu: Dokumentasi, Rekaman arsip, wawancara terbuka, observasi langsung, observasi partisipan, Perangkat fisik. Keabsahan data menggunakan empat kriteria utama yaitu standar kredibilitas, standar transferabilitas, standar dependabilitas dan standar konfirmabilitas. Analisis data per-kasus (Interaktif Model dari Miles dan Huberman) dan analisis data lintas kasus. Menggunakan informasi kuantitatif untuk menguatkan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bawah persepsi pengelola pondok pesantren terhadap manajemen risiko, menyatakan bahwa manajemen risiko sangat penting untuk diterapkan di lembaga pendidikan Islam pondok pesantren, karena risiko memiliki dampak terhadap pengelolaan pondok pesantren, sehingga risiko penting untuk dkelola secara baik, agar pondok pesantren bisa tetap bertahan dan terus berkembang. Penerapan manajemen risiko Pondok Pesantren sangat bermanfaat/positif, dibuktikan dengan bertambahnya jumlah santri yang belajar di pondok pesantren setelah mengalami masa pandemi dari tahun 2019, selain itu juga menambah unit pendidikan. Kerangka kerja/framework manajemen risiko lembaga pendidikan Islam pondok pesantren Manba’ul Ulum dan Darussalam di Kabupaten Banyuwangi selaras dengan ISO 31000:2018 Risk management-Guidelines, serta memiliki keterbaruan dalam penelitian ini, yakni kedua pondok pesantren memposisikan manajemen barokah melingkupi keseluruha proses kegiatan manajemen risiko, serta di dasari implementasi dari paham Ahlusunnah wal jama’ah An-Nahdhiyah yang dianut dan bersumber dari Al Qur’an dan Al-Hadist, sehingga pondok pesantren memperoleh kemaslahatan
English Abstract
Risks are present in all organizations, and Islamic boarding schools are no exception. Risk needs to be correctly and appropriately managed to prevent serious harm to the organization’s operation. The objectives of this research are to reveal and explain the perceptions of administrators concerning risk management, to explain the application of risk management in Islamic boarding schools, and to produce a framework of risk management for Islamic boarding schools. This study focuses on non-financial risk management by referring to holistic multicase studies. The setting of this research is two Islamic boarding schools in Banyuwangi regency: Manba’ul Ulum of Muncar and Darussalam of Blokagung. The data was harvested from documentation, archival records, open interviews, direct observations, participant observations, and physical apparatuses. The interviews were conducted with key informants, i.e. the school administrators and officials, and supporting informant, i.e. people from the outside of the schools. The acquired data was then validated using four standards: credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability, and analyzed using within-case, i.e. Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, and across-case approaches. Quantitative information was used to strengthen the research results. This study finds that the administrators of the schools perceive that risk management is crucial to be applied in the Islamic education institutions. As risks have positive and negative impact on the management, they need to be properly managed in order to ensure the schools existence and development. The positive effects of risk management are proven by the increasing number of education units and students even after the 2019 pandemic. The risk management framework of both schools conforms the ISO 31000:2018 standard concerning Risk-Management Guidelines. The novelty of this study is that they put barakah (blessed) management in a position that enables it to encompass all risk management processes based on the implementation of Ahlusunnah wal jama’ah An-Nahdhiyah, a mainstream Islamic principle distinctive to Indonesia, sourced from the Quran and hadith, through which the schools gain their benefits.
