Abstract

Nilai perusahaan sangat penting karena mencerminkan kinerja perusahaan yang dapat mempengaruhi persepsi investor terhadap nilai perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini pengukuran nilai perusahaan menggunakan rasio PBV (price book value), yaitu perbandingan antara harga saham dengan nilai buku per saham atau book value per share (Suwardika. & Mustanda, 2017). Indikator price book value digunakan untuk menunjukkan seberapa jauh suatu perusahaan mampu menciptakan nilai perusahaan relative terhadap jumlah modal yang diinvestasikan, dengan mengetahui rasio PBV, investor dapat mengidentifikasikan saham mana yang harganya wajar, undervalued dan overvalued. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan: (1) pengaruh Leverage terhadap Profitabilitas; (2) pengaruh Diversifikasi terhadap Profitabilitas; (3) pengaruh Profitabilitas terhadap Nilai Perusahaan; (4) pengaruh Leverage terhadap Nilai Perusahaan melalui Profitabilitas; (5) pengaruh Diversifikasi terhadap Nilai Perusahaan melalui Profitabilitas. Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam explanatory research, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 10 perusahan sub sektor pertambahan di BEI 2017-2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis jalur (Path Analysis) dengan bantuan software SPSS. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Leverage berpengaruh negative dan tidak signifikan terhadap Profitabilitas; (2) Diversifikasi berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap Profitabilitas; (3) Profitabilitas berpengaruh negative dan tidak signifikan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan; (4) Leverage terhadap Nilai Perusahaan melalui Profitabilitas, diperoleh hasil berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan; (5) Diversifikasi terhadap Nilai Perusahaan melalui Profitabilitas, diperoleh hasil berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan

English Abstract

The value of the company is very important because it reflects the company's performance which can affect investors' perceptions of the value of the company. In this study, the measurement of firm value uses the PBV (price book value) ratio, namely the comparison between the stock price and the book value per share (Suwardika. & Mustanda, 2017). The price book value indicator is used to show how far a company is able to create company value relative to the amount of capital invested, by knowing the PBV ratio, investors can identify which shares are fair, undervalued and overvalued. This study aims to determine and explain: (1) the effect of Leverage on Profitability; (2) the effect of diversification on profitability; (3) the effect of profitability on firm value; (4) the influence of Leverage on Firm Value through Profitability; (5) the effect of diversification on firm value through profitability. This research is included in explanatory research, with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, with a total sample of 10 additional sub-sector companies on the 2017-2020 BEI. This study uses path analysis (Path Analysis) with the help of SPSS software. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Leverage has a negative and insignificant effect on Profitability; (2) Diversification has a positive and insignificant effect on Profitability; (3) Profitability has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value; (4) Leverage on Firm Value through Profitability, the results obtained have a negative and insignificant effect; (5) Diversification of Firm Value through Profitability, the results obtained have a negative and insignificant effect.
