Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan prototipe sistem pemberian makan dan minum otomatis untuk ayam pedaging berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dan mengevaluasi kinerjanya. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Jember pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan Oktober 2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah rekayasa eksperimental yang dikenal dengan Forward Engineering yang meliputi kajian literatur, analisis kebutuhan sistem, perancangan sistem, implementasi sistem, dan pengujian sistem. Sensor HCSR04, Arduino, Servo Motor, Laptop, Holo Steel Frame, Water Flow Sensor, NodeMCU, Dynamo, Adapter, LCD 16X2 Display, dan Kabel Jumper adalah beberapa peralatan dan bahan yang dibutuhkan. Pengujian pada sistem Arduino, prototipe kesalahan standar, pembacaan bobot pakan, akurasi penjadwalan pakan, dan minuman ayam adalah beberapa faktor penelitian yang digunakan. Hasilnya mengungkapkan bahwa kesalahan standar prototipe adalah rata-rata 0,428%, dan ketepatan jadwal makan dan minum adalah 100%. Kesimpulannya adalah prototipe sistem makan dan minum pintar berbasis Internet of Things telah lulus uji dan efektif dalam memastikan keakuratan pemberian pakan dan penyiraman broiler.

English Abstract

The study was aimed to develop a prototype of automatic smart feeding and drinking system for broilers based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and evaluate its performance. The research was done in the Jember Regency from August to October 2022. The research method was an experimental engineering known as Forward Engineering and it includes literature reviews, system requirements analysis, system design, system implementation, and system testing. The HCSR04 sensor, Arduino, Servo Motor, Laptop, Holo Steel Frame, Water Flow Sensor, NodeMCU, Dynamo, Adapter, LCD 16X2 Display, and Jumper Cables were among the equipments and materials required. Tests on the Arduino system, standard error prototype, feed weight reading, feed scheduler accuracy, and chicken drink were among the research factors used. The results revealed that the prototype's standard error was, on average, 0.428%, and that the precision of the feeding and drinking schedule was 100%. Conclusion was the Internet of Things-based smart feeding and drinking system prototype has passed the test and is effective in ensuring the accuracy of broiler feeding and watering.
