Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengevaluasi pengaruh suplementasi myristic acid dan tanin terkondensasi pada pakan lengkap berbasis jerami jagung terhadap nilai degradasi bahan kering (DBK), degradasi bahan organik (DBO), rumen degradable protein (RDP), undegradable protein (UDP), dan intestine digestible protein (IDP), konsentrasi NH3, dan sintesis protein mikroba secara in vitro produksi gas. Zat aditif yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah tanin terkondensasi dan myristic acid. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini adalah P1: Jerami Jagung 40% + Konsentrat 60%; P2: Jerami jagung 40% + Konsentrat 60% + Tanin Terkondensasi 30 g/Kg BK + Myristic Acid 20 g/Kg BK; P3: Jerami jagung 40% + Konsentrat 60% + Tanin Terkondensasi 30 g/Kg BK + Myristic Acid 30 g/Kg BK; P4: Jerami Jagung 40% + Konsentrat 60% + Tanin Terkondensasi 30 g/Kg BK + Myristic Acid 40 g/Kg BK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai degradasi bahan kering, bahan organik, RDP, UDP dan IDP tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05), nilai DBK dan DBO berkisar antara 43,73-46,48% dan 45,97-48,47%; suplementasi myristic acid dan tanin terkondensasi pada pakan lengkap berbasis jerami jagung menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata (P<0,05) pada konsentrasi NH3 dan sintesis protein mikroba (P<0,05). Sintesis protein mikroba pada penelitian ini berkisar antara 33,22-46,93 g N/Kg BOTR. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi myristic acid dan tanin terkondensasi pada pakan lengkap berbasis jerami jagung dapat menurunkan nilai degradasi DBK, DBO, RDP, UDP dan konsentrasi NH3 serta mampu meningkatkan nilai IDP dan sintesis protein mikroba secara in vitro.

English Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of supplementation with myristic acid and condensed tannins in complete feed based on corn straw on degradation of dry matter (DDM), degradation of organic matter (DOM), rumen degradable protein (RDP), undegradable protein (UDP), and intestine digestible protein (IDP), NH3 levels, and microbial protein synthesis in vitro gas production. The additives used are condensed tannins and myristic acid. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) which consisted of four treatments and three replications. The treatments in this study were P1: Corn straw 40% + Concentrate 60%; P2: Corn straw 40% + Concentrate 60% + Condensed Tannins 30 g/Kg DM + Myristic Acid 20 g/Kg DM; P3: Corn straw 40% + Concentrate 60% + Condensed Tannins 30 g/Kg DM + Myristic Acid 30 g/Kg DM; P4: Corn Straw 40% + Concentrate 60% + Condensed Tannins 30 g/Kg DM + Myristic Acid 40 g/Kg DM. The results showed that the dry matter and organic matter degradation values were not significantly different (P>0.05), the DDM and DOM values ranged between 43.73-46.48% and 45.97-48.47%; the average crude protein value of corn straw-based complete feed between treatments based on RDP, UDP, and IDP had no significant effect (P>0.05) on digestibility crude protein; the addition of myristic acid and tannins in the manufacture of complete feed based on corn straw showed that a significant difference (P<0.05) in NH3 concentration and rumen microbial protein synthesis (P<0.05). Microbial protein synthesis in this study ranged from 33,22-46,93 g N/Kg RDOM. Based on the research, it can be concluded that supplementation of myristic acid and condensed tanins in complete feed based on corn straw reduced the degradation values of DDM, DOM, RDP UDP and reduced NH3 values as well as was able to increase the IDP value and microbial protein synthesis in vitro.
