Abstract
English Abstract
WHO (World Health Organization) has designated COVID-19 as a global pandemic triggering psychological problems in medical workers such as anxiety disorders, which are also related to spirituality. This study aims to determine the relationship between the condition of spirituality and the level of anxiety of health workers at the COVID-19 ICU and the regular ICU of Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSSA) Dr. Saiful Anwar, Malang. A cross-sectional study was conducted on health workers at COVID-19 ICU and RSSA Regular ICU using the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) to measure spiritual conditions and Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) for anxiety levels. This study used a comparative analysis of the 2x>2 alternative test, namely Post Hoc Mann Whitney. To find out the strength and tendency of the relationship between the two variables, Spearman's correlation is used. Based on the result of the study, there was a significant relationship with negative tendency between the condition of spirituality and the level of anxiety in health workers who provided services in the COVID-19 ICU and regular RSSA ICU. The higher the level of spirituality of health workers, the lower the level of anxiety. Thus, there is a significant relationship between the level of spirituality and the level of anxiety in health workers at the COVID-19 ICU and the RSSA regular ICU.
