Abstract
English Abstract
Corona virus is a virus that attacks the respiratory system which can cause respiratory problems. Each body has various symptoms, one of which is severe symptoms in the form of a high fever with a temperature > 38°C. Body temperature can be measured in several places such as in the armpits, mouth, ears, rectum, and forehead. The instrument commonly used to measure body temperature is a thermometer. Despite the commonly known uses, thermometers have the disadvantage that the measurement history cannot be reviewed. This is one of the obstacles in monitoring the condition of COVID-19 patients because the temperature measurement of COVID-19 patients is carried out regularly. Aim: to design and manufacture a tool for measuring and monitoring body temperature for COVID-19 patients based on IoT and utilizing the ESP32 microcontroller. Method: combining IoT technology with the MLX90614 sensor which is specially designed to be able to detect infrared radiation energy which will later be calibrated into a temperature scale form that can be measured automatically and the results can be read on the gadget and can be monitored through the application. starting from literature study, component determination and survey, tool design and design, component assembly, tool testing, evaluation, and repair. In component assembly, starting from program installation, connection to the network, reading sensor values, sending data to the cloud and user interface. Results: Measurement of body temperature with the MLX90614 sensor has an effectiveness value in detecting the body temperature of COVID-19 patients of 98.77%. Conclusion: the Smart ThermoOxy-meter has proven to be effective as an IoT-based body temperature monitoring system for COVID-19 patients
