Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh praktik pelaporan keberlanjutan dan kualitas pengungkapan CSR serta koneksi politik terhadap kinerja perbankan dengan tata kelola perusahaan sebagai pemoderasi. Menggunakan data sekunder perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dari tahun 2014 sampai dengan tahun 2021. Metode pemilihan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan beberapa kriteria sehingga menghasilkan 348 observasi dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian memberikan bukti empiris bahwa praktik pelaporan keberlanjutan dapat meningkatkan kinerja perbankan dengan membuat laporan keberlanjutan yang berdiri sendiri sesuai dengan standrat GRI dan menggunakan jasa Assurance. Kualitas pengungkapan CSR tidak dapat meningkatkan kinerja perbankan karena informasi kegiatan CSR yang tidak lengkap akan menurunkan minat investor sehingga mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan. Koneksi politik oleh dewan komisaris dan dewan direksi akan meningkatkan kinerja perbankan. Dewan komisaris dan dewan direksi yang terkoneksi politik cenderung memilih perusahaan yang baik untuk mendapatkan vasilitas kemudahan dari pemerintah. Tata kelola perusahaan dapat memperkuat hubungan praktik pelaporan keberlanjutan dengan kinerja perbankan karena dapat mempengaruhi perusahaan membuat laporanan keberlanjutan sesuai aturan OJK dan GRI. Tata kelola perusahaan tidak dapat meningkatkan hubungan kualitas CSR dan kinerja perbankan karena tata kelola perusahaan belum berperan maksimal dalam memberikan informasi terkait kegiatan CSR yang dilakukan dan tata kelola perusahaan dapat meningkatkan hubungan koneksi politik dengan kinerja perusahaan karena dewan komisaris yang terkoneksi politik memiliki fasilitas kemudahan dari pemerintah sehingga baik dapat membantu kelancaran perusahaan dan membuat kinerja perbakan semakin meningkat

English Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of sustainability reporting practices and the quality of CSR disclosure as well as political connections to banking performance with corporate governance as moderating. Using secondary banking data listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2021. The sample selection method used the purposive sampling method with several criteria so as to produce 348 observations using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of the study provide empirical evidence that the practice of sustainability reporting can improve banking performance by making a stand-alone sustainability report in accordance with GRI standards and using Assurance services. The quality of CSR disclosure cannot improve banking performance because incomplete information on CSR activities will reduce investor interest and affect the company's performance. Political connections by the board of commissioners and the board of directors will improve banking performance. Politically connected boards of commissioners and directors tend to choose good companies to get convenience from the government. Corporate governance can strengthen the relationship of sustainability reporting practices with banking performance because it can influence companies to make sustainability reports in accordance with OJK and GRI regulations. Corporate governance cannot improve the relationship between CSR quality and banking performance because corporate governance has not played a maximum role in providing information related to CSR activities carried out and corporate governance can improve the relationship between political connections and company performance because the politically connected board of commissioners has facilities from the government so that both can help the smooth running of the company and make banking performance increase
