Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan upaya untuk menyelidiki faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Kemauan Untuk Berkomunikasi (KUB) siswa Bahasa Asing Inggris (BAI) dan sejauh mana tingkat kemauan siswa BAI untuk berbicara bahasa Inggris di kelas digital. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 7 SMP BSS Malang. Terdapat 108 peserta dalam pengambilan sampel secara acak yang ikut serta dalam penelitian ini. Serangkai kuesioner digunakan untuk mengukur faktor KUB (linguistik dan non-linguistik) dan tingkat KUB selama pembelajaran digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 3 macam faktor linguistik berkontribusi terhadap KUB siswa BAI selama pembelajaran digital (1)kosa kata (2)pengucapan (3)tata bahasa. Lebih-lebih lagi, 7 macam kontribusi nonlinguistik adalah (1)Peran guru (2) keakraban lawan bicara (3)motivasi (4)takut dikoreksi berbicara (5)kecemasan (6)kepercayaan diri (7)memahami kemampuan berbicara. Selanjutnya siswa BAI berkemauan berbicara menggunakan bahasa Inggris di kelas digital yang menunjukkan fakta bahwa mereka berkemauan (tetapi tidak sangat berkemauan) untuk berkomunikasi.
English Abstract
The present study is an attempt to investigate factors influencing EFL willingness to communicate and the extent to which degree EFL students are willing to communicate English in digital class. The participants of the study were 7th grader at SMP BSS Malang. There were 108 participants in random sampling took part in the study. A packet of questionnaires was employed to measure factors WTC (linguistic and non-linguistic) and the degree of WTC during digital learning. Results showed 3 sort linguistic factors contribute to EFL students’ WTC during digital learning (1)vocabulary (2)pronunciation (3)grammar. Moreover, 7 sort non-linguistic contributed are (1)Teacher’s role (2) familiarity of interlocutor (3)motivation (4)fear corrected of speech (5)anxiety (6)self- confidence (7)perceive communication ability. Furthermore EFL students WTC using English in digital class indicative of the fact that they were willing (but not highly willing) to communicate.
