Abstract
Kota Batu merupakan salah satu dari banyak kota kolonial di Indonesia, terdapat beberapa warisan pada masa lalu.berupa bangunan kuno. Namun, seiring dengan pergeseran waktu, terjadi perubahan bentuk kota karena faktor-faktor peraturan kota, sosial budaya, teknologi bangunan dan faktor ekonomi. Banyak bangunan kuno yang terbengkalai & beralih fungsi. Upaya yang dilakukan pemerintah kota Batu untuk melindungi karya heritage warisan masa lalu sebenarnya sudah tercantum dalam RTRW tahun 2010-2030. Tercantum pada pasal 43 yaitu, kawasan cagar budaya kota Batu meliputi bangunan kuno bersejarah di kota Batu salah satunya beberapa bangunan kuno yang terdapat disepanjang koridor Panglima Sudirman dan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menggali persepsi masyarakat terhadap penilaian kualitas visual streetscape pada koridor bersejarah jalan Panglima Sudirman di kota Batu dan elemen yang berpengaruh tehadap kualitas visual. Kualitas visual streetscape merupakan penilaian seorang terhadap sebuah tampilan koridor jalan. melalui elemen-elemen pembentuknya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menjawab rumusan masalah adalah metode kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan dalam dua tahap yaitu observasi dan kuesioner. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 200 responden dan terdiri atas masyarakat umum. Responden dibagi 2, yaitu 100 penghuni atau masyarakat yang tinggal atau bekerja pada koridor jalan tersebut dan 100 pengguna atau masyarakat umum yang pernah melewati koridor jalan Panglima Sudirman. Penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan melalui pengamatan langsung (on site) oleh 100 responden dan 100 responden melalui foto terkait penelitian tersebut. Kuisioner menggunakan skala likert, dalam format pertanyaan tujuh skala. Dengan tujuh skala, pemilihan jawaban akan menjadi lebih spesifik. Penilaian kualitas visual streetscape koridor bersejarah jalan Panglima Sudirman kota Batu dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu terkait tampilan elemen-elemen streetscape dan koridor secara keseluruhan.
English Abstract
Batu City is one of many colonial cities in Indonesia, with several legacies from the past such as ancient buildings. However, along with the time, there has been a change in the shape of the city due to many factors, such as city regulation as well as socio-cultural, building technology and economic factors. There are many abandoned ancient buildings which have switched its functions. Efforts made by the Batu city government to protect heritage inheritance from the past have actually been listed RTRW in the 2010-2030. Article 43 of the RTRW listed that the cultural heritage area of the city of Batu includes historic ancient buildings in Batu city, one of which being an ancient building located along the Panglima Sudirman corridor and its surroundings. This research aims to explore the community perception of the visual quality of Jalan Panglima Sudirman’s streetscape and the influential elements towards visual quality. The streetscape visual quality is a form of assessment of a road corridor through its constituent elements. The quantitative method was employed to provide the infomation regarding the community perception of the visual quality. Data was collected in two stages: through observation and questionnaire. Sampling was done using accidental sampling technique. The sample used amounted to 200 respondents and consisted of the general public. Respondents were divided into 2: respondents living or working on the road corridor and respondents passing the Panglima Sudirman road corridor. Questionnaires was dstributed on site to 100 respondents and the other 100 respondents received photographs related to the research as well. The seven-point Likert scale was used for the questionnaire to increase the likelihood of more specific answers. The visual quality assessment of the streetscape was divided into two methods, namely related to the appearance of streetscape elements as well as the overall corridor. The streetscape element consists of building facades (old and new buildings), pedestrian paths, vegetation, bookmarks and street furniture (lights, benches, trash cans).
